Brilliant walking shoes
Absolutely love these, on my 6th pair now. Excellent grip, really comfortable. Great for causual ware and walking on grass etc. Penrith are good too.Now I need to find some that are better for walking on pavements, as these are a bit hard after 5 miles plus.

... early for a comprehensive review but so far so good. Comfortable
Only had these a few weeks so a little early for a comprehensive review but so far so good. Comfortable, the heel rise is a little high to be idea (I prefer no heel rise and use zero heel rise running shoes). Laces do come undone because they are the round style laces. I do not like large ankle style walking boots so these are great alternatives. Would have liked it if the tongue was attached at its sides to prevent water and muck getting in but I suspect that is a feature of a more expensive shoe.

See update
These shoes fitted me perfectly, they are very sturdy and surprisingly light weight.Update: Got these shoes on 8 Jan and all of the above was true BUT it's now April 20 and the heals have collapsed. Bitterly disappointed, I expect more than three months for £36.95. No point in having good looking shoes if you can't walk in them.

Decent price for a decent shoe.
This is my second pair so knew what i was getting, size (10) fitted fine no problems, look to be well made, comfortable, haven't worn them yet for a full 16 hour day yet so that will be the test. haven't had any problems with HI Tec trainers in the past, but others have said that the build quality has dropped over the past few years.

Terrible Mistake
These are literally the 5th pair of Hi Tec shoes or boots i have bought. And they are the most dissapointing! Forget the other write ups here's the lowdown. 1. They are comfortable and they do fit my size 11 feet. BUT---- 1. They are completely flat inside the shoe ie the inner sole gives Zero support and for walking/hiking shoes this is terrible. 2. Even worse than that there is no Sole support for your feet! All you get is the inner sole and the outer rubber sole with tread! There is virtually no support for your feet and you can feel the tread of the outer sole as you walk. If you value your feet, spine and health don't buy these if you are going to do some serious walking!!! Total let down compared to my previous Hi Tec footwear. Save yourself and look elsewhere.

Good value & practical
I bought these for general wear rather than for hard walking or exercise and they are fine for that purpose. At the price thay are good value with a reasonably thick sole and practical styling. I generally find that Hitec stuff is well made and stands up well to daily use, so I'm hopeful these will last.

BIG
Big sizing ... as usual with Hi tec but a bit more so.... not very good grip despite being billed as walking shoes. Still, wasnt planning on hiking in them and theyre reasonably priced

Good for the money......so far
Not to bad for the money. They appear to be shower proof and the sole is withstanding long pavement walks so far. Far better than some more expensive options I purchased prior to these (a different brand) as they started to disintegrate after just one month and were not even shower proof dispipite claiming they were water proof....
