I loved it but had to wait for the butter to soften a little and already misplaced the metal part that actually cuts the better! Ugghh

My new refrigerator didn’t come with a butter bin. This keeper fits 2 sticks of butter and fits perfectly in the side door. Make sure you keep butter at room temperature to use the butter slicer, works perfectly.

Works great on butter but not so great on hotdogs. I like to make my own dog treats with all beef hotdogs and thought this might aid in the process. It does work, but you need to play with it. It isn't faster by any means, but the slices are more even.

If you press down the cold butter it will be very hard to push it down through the cutter. If you press down the soft room temperature butter it will cut down easily but they will stick to each other and you’d have to use the butter knife to separate them anyway so no point of pushing them through the wire cutter. The container does not close shut tight so can’t even use it as a storage container for anything else. Going into trash can.
