Exactly as described. One of the two joysticks would not work, however it might have been user error while hooking up the connector. Luckily I only needed one. Swapped them out and it works like a charm!

It was a plus having all the tools, and it worked with no issues, no drift, at least not so far. I had dropped and messed up my joystick, but it did have drift before that. This was a better option than buying a new joycon or set. Been a month or more by now and it is still working great and no more drift.

This was my first time replacing a part for a game console, so I was pretty anxious that I would break something. Thankfully, replacing the left stick isn’t too bad for the switch lite. The new stick feels great!

This kit was super easy to install and works perfectly. No more drifting issue. Definitely work the money.

I am not new to electronics repair or ribbon cables by any means. I’ve been repairing cell phones for a few years and computers and game consoles for longer. The directions that came in the package were not very helpful nor did they show the correct screw placement, so I looked up the guide on iFixit. I disassembled it fine but when I went to insert the new joystick, the cable does not thread into the ribbon connector. There was a small piece of black tape on the top of it so I tried removing that and attempting to reinsert, but it still will not thread. Just to make sure it was not user error on my part, I put the old joystick in and the cable threads fine and joycon works, aside from the drift. I was very disappointed seeing that this was so highly rated. I did not receive the alloy locks with the kit as they advertise either
