item looks the same as one in bmw 325 radiator but the thread is different and needs to be a larger therad to fit but i got another one from main deler when i was away .

Fits perfectly in my 2004 Mini and works well. I just installed it, so I can't comment on how long it'll last. The original one started leaking after 20 years, and this is a replacement. The gasket went out on the original, and the replacement gasket looks good. Since the old one lasted 20 years and was plastic, I figured there's no need to spend extra $$ for a brass screw.

Die Schraube kam schnell und gut verpackt an. Und sie passt. Eine kleine Anmerkung: Natürlich ist diese Schraube aus Kunstoff, natürlich kann sie brechen. Und das soll sie auch! Im Deckel des Ausgleichsbehälters befindet sich ein Überdruckventil. Wenn dieses ausfallen sollte sucht sich der aufbauende Druck eine Schwachstelle.Und hier kommt diese Schaube aus Kunstoff ins Spiel. Im Notfall übernimmt sie durch ihr Nachgeben die Aufgabe des Überdruckventils. Tipp: Kauft euch gleich zwei oder drei falls beim manuellen Entlüften das Ding brechen sollte (passiert wenn sie einige Jahre alt ist).
