Very effective
I bought this to install a Kenwood DDX 4016DAB (which requires both an FM and DAB areal) into a Toyota Celica using its FM-only areal. The splitter requires a 12v connection to work which I fed from the stereo's powered antenna output (which I believe most stereos have). This requires either a little soldering or a crimp connector to be fitted. The splitter is working very well, I get excellent reception on both FM and DAB even though the FM reception was a little weak on my previous FM stereo using the same areal.

Works well. Here are the instructions!
You will need this if you install a DAB radio in your car. Make sure your existing car aerial is passive, not powered or active i.e doesn't have an amplifier between it and the radio. If your aerial is passive this will do the job of providing a DAB signal. If your DAB radio has the option for sending power out of the DAB aerial socket it will have no effect on this unit. You must connect the flying lead to a switched 12v supply. If you don't you'll get FM reasonably well but no DAB. I just fitted a Pioneer MVH-270DAB radio and this unit to my Ford Focus making use of the existing aerial and it works very well. DAB signal strength down here in Poole according to the radio is four to five out of five. I'd give it five stars but it doesn't come with any instructions hence only four. Don't waste your money on the aerials that stick to the windscreen, pay the extra tenner or so and get one of these.

Careful - no chance of returning and may lead to more issues
Be careful with this product. I bought for a 2006 Ford Focus which like most modern cars has a CANBUS system - which shut the electrical system down in stages. While it did improve the digital radio signal, the cable continued to draw power when the car was off which prevented the car CANBUS shutting off 45 mins after locking. This equaled lots of car frustration, time, money and effort dealing with flat batteries and tracing the cause.Sadly the company selling this product (with a advertised 1 year warranty on this page) did not answer any return emails and Amazon will not do anything - apart from still sell this, (obvously).I have now replaced with a passive (non-powered) digital Ariel from Halfords, which I have run into the car boot (rather than externally which looks a bit rubbish) - took about 10 mins. Seems to provide a good signal - wish I had done it first instead of wasting my time with this.

Seems to do the job but ...
Although it seems to do the job OK, it arrives with no fitting instructions and didn't look anything like the one in the picture. Mine is small and cylindrical and possibly not as good as the one in the picture; it certainly doesn't seem to be as good quality build-wise. It also can't take power from the DAB antenna, although from the questions asked about this product, it seems as if some previous versions could [Where's the seller? Why aren't they answering any of these questions?].

PERFECT FOR FITTING DAB IN CAR WITH OUT FACTORY DAB MAST/WIRING
Excellent product worked perfectly nice to be able to have DAB in the car without having to have a visible areail displayed in the windscreen, very easy to fit. Saved me the hassle of having to replace the original car areal/wiring because the car was not fitted with a DAB stereo from factory.

Didn't work for me - golf mk v
Unfortunately did not provide a good reception on my dab stero via a golf mk v 2004 built in antenna. Had to return it, but autoleads did give me the refund no q asked. I did pay postage back though. Used an external mag antenna instead which has been perfect

easy
works great, easier to install than a dedicated dab aerial, now everywhere I have driven (through city with tall buildings etc as well as open spaces) my signal stays on 60-65% so I am happy

Happy with the purchase.
I bought this antenna amplifier because I did not want one stuck on the windscreen as well as the one on the car roof,The signal is reasonable some times it is superb around the area that I live in but having used it for a couple of weeks there are some places that I have found a signal loss its a bit like digital telly ok till the signal goes on the blink. It is probably more the fault of the transmission, so until the analogue signal is turned of I am because that gives brilliant reception
