Great, sturdy and light. I only use it half way for soccer
Love this tripod. It's really lightweight but solid and well made. I usually don't go all the way up for soccer games. Absolutely recommended

Could be better
Light weight feel sacrifices quality. Other than the pole itself all componants are plastic. Not condusive for commercial use. Ok for amateur photographers.

sturdy, solid
Very well made, sturdy, solid, easy to adjust, and the carrying bag is padded which is nice for transporting/loading/unloading.

Fantastic non-UAS solution to "near-aerial" filming, but needs stabilizer kit!
As already noted by others, this is a sturdy, well-built TALL camera stand. However, even without any camper system atop its mast, this mast will sway in even light breezes if extended to its maximum height. Below perhaps 1-15 feet it is much more rigid, but at its fun height is will begin to move and reciprocal motion can cause some destabilizing effects, especially of the vectors of motion align with the directions between the tripod stand legs. This is true of all 'tripods,' they are less stable and able to resist lateral leverage in the direction of the spaces between the legs. This is why sandbags are used — for example — on the long leg of a C-Stand( tripod), and poles attached to the top are placed over/in the in the direction of the long leg. A tall pole like this tripod has, that begins to move in with an elliptical, pendulum motion could topple this stand. This would not only be an insurance snafu, but would destroy the camera on top, as it crashes to the ground.STABILIZER KITTo the rescue ... comes the Studio Assets' "Stabilization Spreader Kit for the MegaMast." This kit includes a pole mast collar for the top of the mast, 3 spreader arms (attached part way up the mast), and 3 parachute chord lines (with cam-sheaves pulleys for each one) that help dramatically reduce this 'sway' when fully extended. Shop around, as the "Stabilization Spreader Kit for the MegaMast" can be found at 1/2 the price in some places: you can easily pay 100.00 from some outlets, otherwise! It's a perfect solution but the cost is ridiculous. 1/2 this price is much more fair, however.Bear in mind you'll need your own ground stakes for these lines, and we highly recommend spiral stakes not simply tent stakes which were never meant to hole lines pulling primarily sideways. We found several great stakes solutions here through Amazon, but they're NOT cheap!Additionally, for some as yet unexplained reason, the provided cord is NOT long enough to safely secure the mast at full height. You'll need to assess this for yourself and purchase the appropriate lengths, but we think these lines should have been at least 5-10 feet longer, each! There are also wireless solutions out there OTHER than a DJI Osmo or GoPros for controlling your camera wirelessly from the ground. There is even a dedicated pole-mountable 3-axis head that is driven from a wi-fi control unit, that will set you back a few hundred Somalians, but it worth the price IMO.Overall, with the mentioned caveats considered, this is a solid solution for places where you need to put a camera REALLY high, but where laws, environments or circumstances mean that you cannot employ a UAS solution.
