They have tall sides which reduce evaporation so thinner stocks and soups maintain their light consistency. With a wide, flat base, you can even Saute your soup ingredients right in the pot without having to use an additional pan. As part of our D3 Collection, this Stockpot features a bonded tri-ply construction made with a responsive aluminum core pressed together with 2 layers of durable, stainless steel all the way around the surface, for fast and even heat. At 8 quarts, it is the perfect size for making food for a party or to meal prep for the week. To keep your All-Clad looking brand new, we recommend washing your cookware with a soap and sponge instead of the dishwasher. Like all our bonded cookware, it's handmade in the USA at our Canonsburg, PA factory with ultra-durable materials that'll last a lifetime and never go out of style. The dimensions listed by Amazon seem to be a little off.** A: The top lip of the pot is rolled so the outside edge to edge measurement is 11 1/4 inches. The interior wall to wall measure is 10 1/2 inches. The bottom diameter of the pot is approximately 9 1/2 inches before the flat bottom begins to curve up to become the sides. For this pot I usually use the 11 inch "circle" on my induction stovetop but the 8 1/4 circle works just fine also. **Q: Is this 6Qt stockpot made in USA Pa?** A: Yes. The 7 quart stockpot is also made in the USA **Q: Confused - Amazon title says it's 4506 but mfr's description calls it D3. Did they rename after class action suit?** A: I am "affected party" (lol) in that suit and I don't think it has been finalized yet. I believe the court is going to act on something this February or March but I haven't been contacted further or received anything. In any case, I recall there have been at least two levels of "quality", D3 and the premium grade, D5. D5 had more layers of kryptonite and rare earth metals and so forth. (I have the D3 pot) All Clad announced that D5 has been discontinued. Haven't heard if they were going to offer a new premium line. **Q: What is the outside depth (from bottom to top rim) without lid? I'm trying to figure out if it will fit in one of my deeper drawers** A: It's 5.5" ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Perfect for Sous Vide *by on Reviewed in the United States 7 June 2026* I just received my new stockpot and I am thrilled with the size, quality and heft. I got it for making large batch soups but I realized it would work perfectly with my Joule sous vide appliance. It is going to be even more useful than I thought. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Built like a tank *by on Reviewed in Canada 20 October 2018* When you pick it up, it feels like it was built to last a life time. Love the rolled lip for cleanly pouring out things like soup. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Love it! Buy it! *by on Reviewed in the United States 22 March 2026* Cooks Illustrated recommends this All Clad D3 steel 6 quart stockpot to replace the 18 pound CAST IRON Dutch oven. I am so happy I bought this! It is perfect for braising. It’s my most used pot. Anything I could make in a slow cooker I can make in the All Clad. I did buy enameled Dutch ovens in the past and I did not like how freaking heavy they are when filled with food. And that they CHIP and crack and the inner pot gets stained. So I upgraded to the lighter weight stainless steel ALL CLAD. I can’t believe I broke three enameled cast iron Dutch ovens before I found Cooks Illustrated’s recommendation. I purchased a non enameled cast iron Dutch oven for baking bread in. I love my ALL clad. It’s so easy to clean! ## Frequently Bought Together - All-Clad D3 3-Ply Stainless Steel Stockpot with Lid 8 Quart, Induction, Oven Broiler Safe 600F, Silver - All-Clad D3 3-Ply Stainless Steel Sauce Pan with Lid 3 Quart, Induction, Oven Broiler Safe 600F, Multipurpose, Compatible w/ All Cooktops, For Restaurant or Home Kitchen, Pots & Pans, Cookware, Silver - All-Clad D3 Stainless Steel Frying Pan with Lid, Tri-Ply Bonded, 12-Inch, Silver --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.jp/products/49898283-all-clad-d3-3-ply-stainless-steel-stockpot-with-lid](https://www.desertcart.jp/products/49898283-all-clad-d3-3-ply-stainless-steel-stockpot-with-lid) --- *Product available on Desertcart Japan* *Store origin: JP* *Last updated: 2026-10-01*
