The most beautiful game
I bought Abzu 8 years ago and really enjoyed playing it through. More recently, I’ve been letting my 4-year-old son play it with me and he is captivated by it. The graphics are simple but exquisite. The gameplay is basic but addictive. The music is beautiful. The world these game developers have created is stunning and teeming with oceanic life. It’s not challenging, but it’s still amazing fun. It’s the perfect game for young children to enjoy, especially ones that are obsessed with sea creatures like my son.I can’t recommend Abzu highly enough 👌

This is a beautiful, contemplative game that is not so much a game as a journey through which you learn and uncover the world you find yourself in, and put things to right. The visuals and the music are beautiful, and it feels very peaceful to play. It doesn't have quite the same narrative and emotional power that Journey has, although it's a similar game, so if you enjoyed Journey you will probably enjoy this, although it won't be quite as intense an experience. Also, you get a shark friend. I love the shark friend.

Just so good.
A very engaging game, which is relaxing, yet challenging and has you mesmerised at the beauty and detail of the aquatic life and their environment. This game took just a minute to install on the PS4, but in just a couple of gigabytes of data, there is a lot to look at, with great detail in the fish along with some great game play. My teenage daughter took it in turns with me to explore and hitch rides on groupers, various sharks, including a basking shark and a whale; whilst we explored different areas of the sea. It is a relaxing game to play, but it is also a pleasant challenge, as you explore the ocean floor. There are different video games for different moods, as there are going to be times when you want to shoot and blow up things up at a fast pace, but there are also those times were thinking and style needs to take a front seat and Abzu allows this. Being an aquatic setting, it allows you the time to look at your surroundings and take in their detail and beauty; to can swim through a shoal of fish, which have sharks and sword fish circling them, with whales visible in the depths below you, all of which you can grab on to and steer. We have only played this game for a couple of hours so far, but it really is worth investing in, as we will have many more hours of enjoyment from it. I got £2 off the game because we have Amazon Twitch and with the reasonable price tag to start with, it is going to be a good value family experience for us.

If you enjoyed Journey, then you will probably enjoy Abzu
If you enjoyed Journey, then you will probably enjoy Abzu. As with Journey, there is little plot other than that which you come across and decipher through the ancient ruins that you find and the unusual depictions of a world long lost. Abzu is a beautiful game; it is something you can enter and instantly immerse yourself in, lost in an underwater world of and sharks, jellyfish and whales. Swimming and diving within this world is a relaxing experience, as you accompany turtles, squid, and whales through their undersea travels, you really get lost in the beauty of world.Like Journey, Abzu is more an experience than a “game”. There’s little that will challenge you, and little to actually “do” apart from navigate your diver through the ocean. But that experience is one of the most rewarding that you will find on the PS4. As with Journey, this isn’t a game you will spend hundreds of hours on at a time, but you will likely pick it up, in between other games, to relive and enjoy the beautiful experience.

Ok but not amazing
I have to be honest I didn't love this game as much as the others in the reviews. I like the idea of a chilled game with no great purpose when you want to relax but this didn't do it for me. Graphics not like I expected. Got bored easily. Mt children enjoyed it for a bit

Boring, boor quality
This is the most pointless game there is. No sense in anything at all. You dive through a poorly animated underwater world with no sense in it at all. The graphics are terrible, there's nothing to do, no fun. Maybe this is for a toddler who isn't able to speak!

It's no Endless Ocean
I loved Endless Ocean and was hoping for another game in that vein, but Abzu is disappointingly futile. Yes it's very pretty, but all you do is swim around, occasionally getting blown up by pyramids. Unless I'm missing something (and I played for about three hours) there's no actual point to anything. You just move from place to place.

Brilliant and Imaginative
Amazing and relaxing game with a 'real' music soundtrack. The main message seems to be conservation and empathy with the eco-system of the oceans. Explore each scene, ride with the larger sea creatures, interact with the environment, have fun and discover the key and exit to the next scene. You can make your way to the final scene in a matter of a few hours but then find, when you log out, that you've only visited 25% of the locations. It's hard to describe this game but if you like imaginative, beautiful graphics and chill out music you might find this vey enjoyable. On 'You Tube' you can find fan's theories on the underlying meaning of the scenes that are played out in this game.
