These are great moxibustion sticks from china. We do a lot of self treatment at home using moxibustion sticks in our moxibustion box. My wife is from China and knows this product very well and was extremely excited when we found this on Amazon. These do produce smoke so you need a well ventilated area or use outside. The use of moxibustion sticks helps stimulate healing in troubled areas by using heat to stimulting the point. The sticks never touch the body. They are easy to put out by either putting in a jar and tightening the lid to eliminate any oxygen to stop the burn or by placing in a sand. Never use water. We would recommend these.

Now a day, it's hard to find a moxa stick that's 100% real or doesn't have any filler in it. This moxa stick so far is the best one I've used. Pay attention to the smell, feel and smoke. A good Moxa stick should not have too much smoke, the heat is gentle, and you could actually feel its penetration. Anyway, good health to everyone.

Many years ago I used to go to an acupuncture college for treatments and they often used moxa. I really loved the smell of it and snatched this up when I saw it. Unfortunately, the acupuncture I receive now is in an open plan spa-type facility and I can't use the moxa because of the smoke. My acupuncturist did tell me how to use it at home and I've been trying it out. These sticks are easy to light and not so easy to put out. I eventually have to leave it tip down into a bowl of salt to ensure it wouldn't flare up again. I'm glad I got this set. Not sure how often I will use it, but at least I can smell it whenever I want!

These moxa sticks work great for targeting small areas of muscle aches and joint pain. They burn slow and produce soothing heat when put close to your skin. Even after you are finished, you can still feel the heat working on the treated areas. I don't enjoy the smell and don't find it therapeutic. It is close to a cigar type burn and smell, which may give some a headache, or eye, nose & throat irritation, if exposed to the smell too long. Be patient, it may take several treatments to notice any improvements. I would highly recommend only using these outdoors or in a well ventilated area. There are no English instructions that came with the moxa sticks and no English writing on the package. It is all in Chinese.
