I am just an average person. A first time Grandma, 4 kids, three girls, one boy, all but the boy is grown and out of the nest. The boy is 16. I saw this beautiful leather-bound book quite by accident. One day it showed up in my Amazon feed and I was immediately intrigued! In looking at the details, I completely missed the fact it was actual real leather. I noticed it looked like leather but let’s be honest with one another here, when something is advertised “real leather!!” I am ALWAYS doubtful it will be REAL LEATHER, and actually look or feel like it. Am I right? This book is ACTUALLY REAL LEATHER. When I took it out of the envelope (which had been opened before I received it for some reason, it didn’t have to clear customs so really why was it opened????) I noticed the weight was fairly substantial. It was in plastic wrapping, which was sealed. I opened the wrapping (while standing in my driveway, next to my husband) and immediately smelled the book. It took me back to days of leather horse saddles and leads, of being in a high quality leather goods store and also the smell of our (my hubs and I’s) expensive, leather Harley Davidson jackets. I knew immediately it was REAL ACTUAL LEATHER. My hubs saw what I was opening and he immediately exclaimed “Wow, that’s really cool babe!” (Please know for this to come from my hubs who is RARELY complimentary on much at all unless it’s a shiny, new HD, or big pick-up truck) 😂 As I turned it over in my hands the feel of the leather was truly exquisite. It’s very smooth and velvety but firm. I undid the simple strap which wraps around the book to keep it closed when not in use, and found the pages to be beautifully thick and luxurious. I believe the paper to be thick enough for oil, acrylic paint, definitely for all kinds of drawing and writing mediums to include ink, charcoal and regular colored pencils. The pages of the one I chose are yellowish with dark brown edging, almost as if someone took a lighter and ran it around the outer edges causing a real antique, old feel. That pattern is random for the top, bottom and ends of every single page. The pages themselves are pliable, but very thick imagine asking the grocery store cashier/bagger to put your ice cream in the heavy duty paper bag to help keep it cold longer (just to give you an idea but in no way is the paper constructed in a mass production paper mill like heavy duty paper bags would be). Included within the first few pages is a card from the seller “Leather Village”. It wishes the owner to feel the “peace and love” that went into the making of the journal. The Artisan who made the journal signed the insert. The binding is just as artistic, with a pattern stitched through it. I CANT STOP ADMIRING IT. I get such a feeling of peace and comfort from holding and feeling the pages. Just knowing what my intentions are for the journal (it’s going to be an heirloom for my granddaughter and I plan on writing, sketching and painting throughout the journal) so my granddaughter will know “me”. This journal would truly be an amazing gift for ANY Artist or writer. If you are looking for something to really make a lasting impression on a loved one, or for a unique gift that will inspire and motivate someone THIS IS IT. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

This is the best leather journal that I have ever purchased! I couldn’t be more pleased. The craftsmanship is truly breathtaking. The book is sturdy and bound in soft leather with lots of beautiful vintage looking pages. I will definitely be purchasing more in the future.

Rustic looking and well constructed. Lovely color green. Pages are smooth enough to draw on. Ink does not bleed through. I have only used gel pens (just fyi). Pleased with purchase. Thank you 😊

This journal is absolutely beautiful and so well made. Real soft leather , smells amazing! The pages and the book look like something vintage from another time. I am using it as a family cookbook to pass down to my children.

The journal is beautiful. The leather is soft the pages are soft as well. This will hold up a long time with lots of love. The options for use are endless, you aren’t limited on what you want to use it as. The pages are easy to write on just dont use a gel pen. The pages have no lines but for me that’s perfect. This journal was everything I wanted and then some.

Very nicely made, the pages feel really nice and thick & the leather is nice too. My only complaint is it smells really strong & is a lot smaller than expected. (I tried to show the size by comparing it to my hand and foot) Over all love the vibe it has though. Will work perfectly for my sticker crafting

This watercolor book is one of the nicest books I’ve ever owned… It is beautifully made, and the pages are thick and luxurious. I can’t wait to paint in it, and I love showing it off just because it is such a beautiful thing to own! Absolutely worth the money!

J'ai lu les commentaires et c'est pour cette raison que j'ai hésité longuement avant d'acheter - je me demandais si je recevrais un journal en cuir ou une bombe à retardement. Rassurez-vous, c'est bel et bien un journal que j'ai reçu :) et j'en suis incroyablement satisfaite. L'odeur : Il sent le cuir avec peut-être un petit plus, comme un agent pour traiter les matériaux, mais rien de désagréable ou qui nécessite une exposition au grand air. En fait, l'odeur n'est pas très puissante et il faut vraiment l'avoir en main pour la sentir. Personnellement je la trouve assez agréable et mon conjoint l'aime aussi. Le cuir : La couverture est vraiment belle. Le cuir est souple et le relief de l'arbre fait monter d'un cran la qualité du produit. La sangle est elle aussi très souple - je lui ai enroulé une vieille clé pour le visuel :) et je serais très étonnée que la sangle se fissure avec le temps. Les coutures sont d'une beauté incroyable et cela apporte beaucoup de charme au journal. Les pages : La plupart sont de couleur crème, même si quelques-unes sont un peu plus jaunes. Il y a quelques irrégularités concernant l'épaisseur et la taille des pages, et certaines peuvent contenir un petit défaut.... mais la vérité c'est qu'elles sont parfaites ainsi. Ces irrégularités constituent l'essence même d'un journal artisanal et c'est ce qui le rend aussi authentique. Il a vraiment l'air vieux et j'apprécie sa qualité. L'écriture : Je viens de le recevoir alors je n'ai pas encore écrit à l'intérieur, mais j'avoue qu'il sera assez laborieux d'écrire sur certaines pages, notamment celles de gauche au début du livre - à cause de l'épaisseur du journal mais aussi parce que je ne voudrais pas forcer les coutures et risquer de déchirer les pages - pas parce qu'il est fragile mais parce que je le considère déjà comme un petit trésor que je ne voudrais surtout pas abimer. Je vais plutôt utiliser les pages difficiles d'accès pour coller des photos, des fleurs séchées, des tampons de cire... et vu l'épaisseur des pages, je n'aurai aucune crainte à utiliser ma plume pour le remplir - d'ailleurs les pages sont suffisamment lisses pour obtenir une belle calligraphie. En résumé, c'est un excellent achat et je suis plus qu'heureuse de l'avoir acheté. Je songe même à en acheter un deuxième pour offrir en cadeau. C'est un 5 étoiles assuré. J'ai inclus quelques photos :)

Il design è visivamente interessante, il concetto di diario vintage è bello ma ha un odore fortissimo e sgradevole simile a puzza di escremento o muffa. È stato tenuto troppo a lungo chiuso e trattato con materiali di scarsa qualità. Pelle macchiata in almeno 2 punti e per un prodotto curato artigianalmente è inaccettabile. Non lo consiglio perché così come è sembra un articolo made in China da 10 euro. Ha solo 50 pagine e NON 200!!! Peccato!
