I bought it for a locker at the local YMCA and it seems to be very sturdy. The lock is easy to spin but doesn't change numbers on its own or anything like that. The readability of the numbers is just fine as the numbers arent too small and the engraving of the numbers is distinct. The first lock of this brand has been great and is really sturdy and easy to use. But, I thought the other lock,that I bought about 9 years ago and have been using on my patio to lock a storage container, was getting rusty and hard to open. I thought I might just oil it and it would be fine, but the price of a new lock was low enough that I just sprung for this new one. Like the former lock it was easy to program with a 4 digit code and works great. Ironically, when I replaced the prior lock I realized that it was still functioning well and I didn't need to replace it. I'll keep the old lock in case I need a lock on something else. SO, the short story is that it's just a lock and it works perfectly well. It's easy to program with a 4 digit code, easy to open and relock, and will last for years.
