This book was a lush, enticing read!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️I don’t read many pirate stories, so I never know what to expect. It’s a hit or miss genre for me. This book embodied the spirit and passion of the high seas. This series has been substantial; I feel this installment is the strongest. This book was a lush, enticing read.Keith and Sarafina’s relationship was electrifying and sizzling. There was such intensity between them. Each had tragedies in their past but overcame them, giving them strength. Keith was the embodiment of power and grit. Sarafina had a quiet dignity to her spirit. Keith has a twin, Kyle, who was featured in the previous book. I have identical twins in my life. Ms. Barclay captured their unique bond perfectly. Their uncanny ability to know what the other was feeling and thinking was portrayed perfectly. Their relationship helped the story feel genuine. Each secondary character was vivid and stood out. From antagonists to friends, they were all memorable. The fast pace, big surprises, and twist and turns kept me riveted to the page. This book flew by; the speed is unrelenting. The passion burned through the pages. Mostly, though, I love the tenderness of emotion the couple had for each other. I knew without a doubt that this couple loved each other. They had insecurities and emotional scars, yet together, they healed one another. It was a beautiful, romantic love story tossed among all the action and challenges. The plot was unrelenting and intriguing.I love when I find a book that enchants me. The push and pull of the book was spot on. It was an epic, sweeping adventure. I tore through this book. My interest was caught from the very beginning, and it never waned. I am so glad I took a chance on four pirate stories, especially this one. A wild ride of a read. Read this if you, like me, tend to read similar storylines in the same genres. It will be a fascinating journey you will never want to end.

A rousing high seas adventure with plenty of drama and heat
Celeste Barclay is an author who creates books that you can see in your mind as if they were on a technicolor movie screen. “The Scarlet Blade of the Sea” is book 4 of the Pirates of the Isles series. You can definitely read it as a stand-alone, but I suspect you'll want to go back and read the first 3 books after you finish this one because they’re all just as exciting.Keith and Sarafina are the lead characters in this book. Everything is unique and unusual about this couple from the very first moment that they meet. I don’t want to give any spoilers, but I will tell you that this book is full of interesting and exciting twists and turns from the very beginning till the very end. The characters communicate very well with one another, and that’s a big help to the reader. There is mystery and danger, numerous characters who aren’t quite what they seem, alliances and betrayals, exotic locales, and enough passionate action to make your e-reader screen steam up.If you’re looking for an exciting action adventure on the high seas with plenty of steam and underlying message to never give up and never lose hope, this book is a great choice. Be warned that you may need a fan or a cold beverage at hand!

Hot Pirate Story
The Pirates of the Isles is one of my favorite series, until now I would not be able to pick a favorite book. But hands down, The Scarlet Blade of the Sea has taken that spot, and not just as my favorite of the series but as one of my favorite stories. I was very excited when I learned that Celeste Barclay was planning to write Kyle and Keith’s stories in addition to Rowan and Rauri, I was drawn to them from their first appearance in The Blonde Devil of the Sea. This is Keith’s story and while he is a notorious pirate there are things even he won’t tolerate. Serafina is a young woman who is a horrific situation that she is desperate to escape. She does this by becoming a stowaway on Keith’s ship the Lady Grace. Once she is discovered what ensues is a story with great characters, action, adventure, and steamy romance. Keith and Serafina are both complicated characters, they both have things in their past that they feel define them. Yet they both accept each other exactly how they are. This story does have a loving BDSM component, a D/s dynamic with bondage, toys, and anal play. The component is well written but if that is not for you then you may want to pass on this wonderful story.
