My new favorite tool.
I use this stuff on everything now. Doesn't leave iron particles like steel wool so it won't cause surface rust contamination, and it won't scratch steel. It's slightly less durable than steel wool.

Batter than steel wool
Clean, effective, and safer than steel wool for delicate work. The fine-grade bronze cuts light rust and oxidation on blued steel, stainless, glass, and wood finishes without scratching when used with oil. Pads resist corrosion and shed less than steel, so you won’t embed rust-prone fragments. Good size and durability for gun parts, hardware, and cabinet finishes. Downsides: not aggressive for heavy rust, fibers can still shed a bit, and price is higher than bulk rolls. Use with a light oil, apply minimal pressure, and test on an inconspicuous spot first.

Safe polishing bronze wool for a variety of surfaces - does not rust!
I use this bronze wool to clean metal surfaces like tub, sink and shower faucets/fixtures. Sometimes I'll use it with CLR liquid to remove scale and lime. It also works well on dirty glass. The bronze is soft and forgiving unlike steel wool that can scratch delicate surfaces. My 2 "cons" are that this product is pricey and the pads are thin. But if you want a safe version of 00000 steel wool for delicate surfaces, this product will work well. Hope that helps! PS - Amazon wanted me to rate the "warmth" of this bronze wool. If I ever use it for insulation, I'll give you an update. (I'm kidding - it's a goofy feature for Amazon to ask to rate!)

Will not leave pieces on your work. I use this to remove "Road Oil on windscreen (Glass only).
Lasts until you lose it or lend it. This is a "detailer's" item that many do not know about. Hard to find unless you live near Cape Cod as it is used for cleaning Marine Chrome. If your windscreen is streaking your windshield wipers then you need to first wash with auto soap your windshield to remove dirt. Then spray some water and more soap on the windscreen (england) , windshield (US). This will remove road oil from all the cars and trucks that have deposited oil on your wind (barrier). Its a little pricey so use only one piece and keep in a ziplock bag to keep it clean. Store the rest as this is Hard to Find. Since it is bronze it is softer than STEEL wool which will scratch Glass. Bronze wool will not rust or break apart like steel wool. Probably good for chrome as well as on MC parts that may have deposits on them. I do not use even 0000 steel wool on Bike Chrome as it scratches. Bronze wool will not.

Good value and good product
Wool is very useful to clean metal without ruining finish. Helps remove rust from steel and lime scale as well without damaging finish. Many uses for cleaning metal and glass.

Bronze wool
I wouldn’t buy it again, it was no better than steel wool. Sheds too much during use.

Do not use on a chequered rifle stock
The bronze wool disintegrates instantly into thousands of tiny fragments which stick in the chequering on my rifle stock and are proving extremely dificult to remove, mainly due to trying to remove each of the thousands of individual pieces one by one with a cocktail stick. Edit: I forgot to update. I removed the bronze wool fragments from the chequering by using a copper wire brush and naptha (Zippo Lighter Fluid) which not only removed the wool fragments but also 40 years of ingrained grease/oil/dirt/wax without any damage to the chequering. Note using the copper wire brush on different rifle stocks may not have the same excellent results and could damage them so use with care and also make sure it's a copper wire brush and not a steel one coated with copper.

Excellent produit 👌
Très bon pour effacer trace de rouille de surface sur arme à feu sans graffigné encore meilleur en ajoutant de l'huile 👌

Perfect for Tough Window Cleaning!
I bought this Wool pack to tackle filthy windows after a full home renovation—works like a charm! It scrubs off grime without scratching glass, even when dry. Rust-resistant too, which is handy. Downside: A bit messy with loose fibers if you’re not careful. Used it for a week, still going strong. Awesome for deep window cleaning—highly recommend!
