VERY sturdy and useful desk. Pay attention to the directions with regard to the orientation of all pieces and save yourself the trouble of disassembling and doing it right. Well build and easy to adjust.

I bought this portable mobile desk several years ago to use when teaching online courses for my clients. It is so sturdy and has been the perfect desk for my work. I generally sit on a stool but also stand at times. The quality is outstanding, and when I compare it to other brands, the price cannot be beat. My laptop sits on top and my instructor binder on the self below. I also purchased a flexible, adjustable light that was easily attached to the back. I highly recommend this laptop desk.

Like other reviewers have mentioned, this thing is a tank. Heavy duty, rolls easily, and has wheel locks to keep it in place. I do not assemble things on a regular basis, so here's my honest take on the assembly: The instruction booklet leaves a lot to be desired. The wording is brief at best, and I had to guess what to do at several points along the way. The diagrams are complicated and incorporate multiple steps in one image. For anyone who can't figure out the plastic sleeves, you're not alone. After Googling and reading all the reviews, I was still confused as to how they should stay on, and that's just it - they do NOT snap into the piping. They are only meant to be set in place and pushed up into the tube. They will stay in place once they are in the tube. Aside from this, the top of the podium is VERY heavy, so you need to have a good grip on both sides when adjusting the height. Overall, I'm happy with the purchase, but the assembly instructions could be better.

As other reviewers have noted, the instructions for this unit could be better. But I had no trouble assembling it on my own and it came with extras for the various screws, etc. which is always welcome. I was impressed at how heavy and sturdy this is. (It's pretty much all-metal construction, except for the plastic wheels and the plastic base cover. I feel confident keeping my laptop on it, but I've also been leaning on it to make hand-written notes and it's not budging. I appreciated the clean aesthetics of this unit. Subtle logos and a black plastic cover to hide the bolts (this will also aid with dusting. I have an old-fashioned-looking office and I don't generally let anything modern-looking through the door, but this is a neutral-enough design that I can overlook it. It's a great addition to have beneath my bulletin board where I can stand and move notecards around, while pausing to write on the surface. As others have noted, this is not a good choice for portabiity—for taking to speech venues, etc. But it's great for moving around a room or keeping in a stable position. All-in-all, this was a terrific addition to my home office.

I use this as a music stand, using the tilting feature. So much sturdier than a regular one-leg music stand. I was putting a light, my iPad, iPhone and other shelves on a regular music stand that became wobbly. This lectern solved the problem. Love it!

Very well constructed, easy to assemble, works very good for my work needs. Love that's it's mobile, doesn't take up a lot of space. Highly recommend this product.
