To keep it short and sweet, these strings look and sound amazing! Put them on a strad copy and they sound and feel great!

A GREAT deal on steel strings, compare to Prim or Chromcor
This is a great set of steel strings for the price. They're chromesteel wound, bright but not tinny, and plenty loud. They're very quick response and easy to play. These are way better than Preludes which are standard steel strings in the same price bracket but are cheap sounding by comparison. I would put these Black Diamond Vintage Violin Strings head to head with Prim strings or Pirastro Chromcor, which are similar strings to these for twice the price. However, what works best for your fiddle may be different from other fiddles, so of course YMMV.These are great for fiddle players! And don't confuse these strings with the cheaper Black Diamond "Fiddle strings" which are horrible. These are totally different, way better, strings from those dirt-cheap fiddle strings from the same company.
