My HP Pavilion laptop's original battery had degraded significantly, making it almost unusable without being constantly tethered to a charger. Factory battery was looking a little too puffy when I opened my daughters laptop to see if I could add storage space. I couldn't add more storage space without replacing the NVMe. Pulled the battery that was factory install and disposed of it. It's a HP laptop, I wouldn't bother going directly through them as I can do simple tasks myself and save a bunch of money. Took my time in researching reviews. Forgot about it after a while as life got busy. Daughter asked if I could order the battery for her. This is the one I bookmarked on my desktop computer so I must have decided this was the best I seen. It shipped fast. Through many cycles this battery still holds up just fine. My daughter was able to have her laptop unplugged for a couple of hours without needing to find the charger. I was able to actively use this laptop for roughly 6 hours with battery saver without needing to charge it from full charge. The factory battery was max 4 hours. Great replacement that was way cheaper than HP. The part alone from HP was $130, add labor and shipping costs, total would have been far more than what we paid for the laptop new.

Perfect replacement for an original battery in a HP Pavilion 15-cs0064st laptop. The tools needed to open the laptop (screwdrivers and guitar pick) were included - a nice touch for those that don't have the specialty screwdrivers and something to safely pry the laptop bottom off. Fit for the replacement battery was perfect; the places for the hold-down screws lined right up. If you do the HP battery check, you'll likely receive a "battery failure" error message, but don't worry - the replacement battery charges, holds the charge and provides the correct voltage and amperage to power the laptop just fine. I suspect that there's a chip in the OEM batteries that identify them as HP OEM batteries, which, of course, this battery is not. HP is famous for doing that with their printer cartridges, so it doesn't surprise me that they would doing that with their other replacement products. The only question is how well this battery performs over time - we'll have to see. After two weeks, so far so good!

Revised review after 2 years on July 31, 2026: Battery swelled up and became puffy (see 2nd photo). I felt that this could even be a fire or explosion hazard and began to question the laptop’s fitness for air travel. It also hindered the working of the left click key in the touch pad too. The laptop would shutdown without warning when the charge reached below 67%. I reached out to Amazon but there was no way to reach out to the seller. There was no help from either. Though out of warranty, becoming a fire or explosion hazard because of swelling is unacceptable. That never happened with original HP Battery even after it stopped performing after the 5 years. DO NOT BUY. I replaced it again with a different brand (or may be they are all the same with just a different label for the name tag) Original review : June 23, 2024: It’s just a couple of days since installing this battery in the HP 14-DQ1033CL laptop. Seems to perform well as far as electrical behavior is concerned. But there’s an additional 1.5 millimeter gap in the connector after mounting and tightening all screws. See picture. It doesn’t seem to affect it’s working.

OK. 2nd Update. PLEASE READ. After being contacted by the Seller through Amazon, FuturoSP sent another battery completely free of charge. I replaced the one that was sent first with the free replacement. I've carefully completed the 'break in' for the battery as per the instructions from the Seller. So far, so good. The replacement is working very well and we'll see if there's any issues in about 1.5 months. Thank you FuturoSP for rectifying the situation. ************ UPDATE! PLEASE READ! After purchasing this item August 18, 2024 the brand new replacement battery DIED yesterday. Returnability (if that's a word) ended September 19, 2024. I've tried all the "DIY" troubleshooting recommended with no positive results. Battery has dropped to 10% and will not charge. There is no option for a refund at this time. The battery lasted ~46 days. ************ Original review: 2016 HP x360 Spectre 13-w0xx OEM battery replacement. It came with the correct tools to open my laptop and well packaged for battery safety. You may need a sharper edge to get the feet off than the tool that is suplied. After 'Tubing a couple of videos, it was an easy replacement. I've done the suggested break-in procedure and so far my laptop has gone from ~1 hour on the original 8yo battery to ~6 hours on this one (so far... according to research and this battery manufacturer, my battery software will learn the new battery and give me more accuracy in about a week which should lead to a longer "displayed" battery life/actual longer running time, according to the software). When new, the OEM battery would last about 6-6.5 hours of nonstop unplugged use. This battery it spot on so far.

I watched a YouTube video before I ordered the battery. The guy used and old credit card to separate the laptop bottom. When I got the kit with the pick, I thought cool, I can use that instead of a credit card. Unfortunately the pick wore out and didn't do the job. An old credit card did work much better. BTW I also upgraded the memory while I had the laptop open. Worthwhile doing that as the laptop isn't fun to open up and it runs much better. Update: Almost a year later, my battery developed a quirk where it would all of a sudden shut down randomly. I contacted at customer support, which within a couple of days had a new battery to me. Their customer service is excellent. I was so happy they have a one-year warranty.

The battery worked fine and I was able to install it successfully on my HP ENVY x360 13-y0xx. The fit and connector matched properly, and the laptop powered on and charged normally afterward. The included tools were sufficient for the installation, including the Torx T5 screwdriver needed to open the bottom cover.

Excellent product support-ended up getting a faulty battery. After the initial charge, it wouldn’t even hold a charge for a week in the lap top while it was shut down. Contacted the company, they immediately sent out a replacement battery which works a lot better!! Great price too-very happy.
