It consists of a hard shell which the steamdeck securely sits in, and a top section which clips onto the back via a powerful magnet to provide all over protection when you want to store it away. All the important ports on the steamdeck are still accessible via cut outs in the case, and it feels comfortable too hold, not adding too much weight overall to the console. Overall I think this is one of the best cases I have ever brought for any console, and I've no real gripes to say about it. It's fairly difficult to get in and out of the hard shell, but it's designed so that you don't need to, so I don't consider it a gripe. I will use this daily but use the case for travel. Thanks** A: It does fit, very snuggly. The original case will zip up with it in. Myself I just use the flip case for travel as fairly robust. The flip part is detachable I’ve used a JSRUX steam deck dock extender to allow the case to sit in the official dock.
