For the money, this is pretty great. It's attractive and a great option for me to keep my giant rabbits separated. Some things worth knowing: Like most hutches it comes shipped in flat pieces and needs to be assembled. Assembly wasn't too bad, maybe an hour and a half. The instructions are pretty clear and straightforward the only things that might trip you up are: There are two types of casters (wheels). Half of them have locks and the other half don't. The locking ones should be on the front. There's an instruction to install the hay feeder... I'm surprised there's only one hay feeder, but the instruction doesn't really tell you where to install it *back wall in pictures. The box was packed pretty well, no damage from shipping, but the dead space was filled with Styrofoam. Ultimately I had a kitchen garbage bag worth of plastic / Styrofoam waste, which is a disappointment. When assembling this sort of structure be extremely careful. Screws strip out easily and the light wood can splinter. I had better than average results on this than I have on others in the past. I love the design. Everything is accessible, more than I thought it'd be in the pictures. Even the rigid floor section is easily dumped into the tray below for cleaning. Money well spent I think.

I thought I would clarify the quality of this item. I waited until we had been using this hutch for a few weeks before writing this so that I could include actual usage in my review. A few things to address: Firstly, yes. It’s wood. Which means your rabbit WILL chew it. Especially if you don’t provide them with alternative chewing toys. We have done that and our bunny hasn’t chewed it at all. And she’s been in it for 2 weeks now. Secondly, your rabbit will need time OUTSIDE of this hutch. It is roomy enough for sleeping, eating, etc. But it is definitely not big enough for a rabbit to live in full time without ever coming out. I mean, a German shepherd COULD live in your bathroom, but he probably won’t thrive there. Same thing. Your bunny will need more room to move. You can do that by free roaming if that’s feasible for you, or you can attach a pen or do a combination of both like we do. We couldn’t have planned it better! To describe how it looks aesthetically in one word, adorable! This hutch is SO CUTE! It fit right in with our decor and it looks more like furniture than like “an animal lives here”. Assembly wasn’t too hard. I did it by myself, mainly because if my husband and I put things together TOGETHER, we contemplate divorce. So, I did it on my own, I only had to ask someone to hold something for me twice. Overall, assembly took me about an hour and a half and the directions were pretty straightforward and easy to follow in my opinion. As far as sturdiness, it IS thinner wood, but typically rabbits only weigh a few pounds so it’s strong enough to me and it IS well made. We have had no issues with it at all. She loves her house, she goes in every day for her “beauty sleep” and comes back out in the evening when she’s ready to play. Overall, I would definitely recommend this hutch! Just remember to make sure your bunny has time outside of it in some way and to provide chew toys and you will be good to go!! 🐰💜

Our new bunny arrived without any advance notice as some cretin had abandoned it in the parking lot outside of where I work. I took her home and we used our old ferret cage as a temporary home as we sought something more suitable. My daughter and I came up with a wish list. It had to be made primarily of wood, relatively easy to clean, not too deep (so as to not stick out far from the wall), and reasonably attractive. We looked at maybe 20-25 hutches before finding this one. It ticked all the checkboxes so I ordered it. I was a little annoyed at the $60 shipping fee but not enough to stop me from ordering it. If you don't feel like reading the whole review, here's the quick pros and cons. PROS * Shallow design makes indoor use friendlier without cramping the bunny's living space. * Decent build quality for the price. Nothing was cracked or warped; everything was plumb and square. Real wood, not particle board. Paint looks good. * No sharp bits on the wire windows. I was expecting to have to go in with my Knipex to clean it up but, no. * Easy to assemble as long as you're aware of the ramp placement faux pas (see below) and know how to align corners without guides. Hardware nicely sorted, includes extra screws. * Between the slide-out drawers, lift-up roof, and multiple access doors, it's VERY easy to clean the hutch and to access the bunny. * Included wall-mounted feeder bin is a nice touch. CONS * Assembly instructions could be cleaner, and has a pretty significant error (ramp placement). * Assembled hutch feels a bit loose, like IKEA furniture. Could use additional support at joins. * Wood should be sealed better if intended to be used outdoors. * A few joins don't have pilot holes so it's up to you to ensure alignment before screwing them together. It arrived intact and we spent about 30 minutes assembling it. (Note: I've seen several reviews here where the author is blaming the manufacturer for damaged caused by shipping. This is just dumb. These people should be complaining to the shippers or, based on some of the photos posted here, should never have accepted what would have been an OBVIOUSLY DAMAGED package in the first place.) The assembly diagram is a little unclear in a couple of areas (illustrations not clear) but nothing you can't reason out. While most of the panels have pilot holes that make it really easy to figure out alignment, a few of them don't which means you have to eyeball it (or set up a jig if you're really that neurotic about it). This is less of a problem and more of an annoyance. There is one pretty substantial flaw in the assembly instructions, however. There are two ramps in the hutch forming a zig-zag so the bunny can get upstairs. One ramp is lower and SHOULD be against the back of the hutch, while the other ramp is higher and SHOULD be against the front of the hutch. But in the assembly diagram these ramps switch places more than once; one step shows the bottom ramp against the front wall, then the next step shows it against the back wall, then the next step shows it against the front wall again, then the next step shows it against the back wall again. When we first assembled it we followed the steps in order and therefore put the lower ramp against the front wall and the upper ramp against the back wall, but after we assembled more of the hutch we discovered we had to switch the ramps around. One very nice touch is the presentation of the assembly hardware. Each screw type is individually packaged, with the package having a label with the part letter, AND every screw comes with one extra just in case. Like typical IKEA furniture, the hutch comes flat-packed with each panel being fully assembled so there's no doors to hang or align, which was also nice. The build quality of each panel is reasonable for the cost, with each piece nicely aligned and no drips or runs in the paint. One thing I didn't like was the approach to the back panel which is split in half horizontally. This is done to make the flat-pack smaller so I understand why it was done, but the approach they took to assembly makes it a bit weak. Only five or six small wood screws hold the two halves in place. One good impact or enough small wiggling over time can easily make the screws come loose. I don't know if this will last over time but (a) I'm not a carpenter and (b) the construction seems simple enough to repair if it ever gets that far. Similarly, the joins where panels come together could be made stronger with additional/larger pegs, reinforcement, and/or screws. When fully assembled the hutch is sturdy but does flex a bit (again, not unlike some IKEA furniture). The roof piece is surprisingly heavy, though I suppose this is by design to keep bunnies in and would-be predators out. The surface of the roof is like a big roofing asphalt sheet so I have no doubt it's waterproof. We opted to NOT install the wheels on the hutch as we didn't want it to be possible for the bunny to get underneath of it. However, the wheels are quite heavy duty and are backed with appropriately sized screws so I can't see there being an issue there if we had chosen to go that route. The pull-out drawers for cleaning are a great thing, and since all of the wood was straight and true they slid right in and out very easily without binding. The plastic material inside is nicely textured but sounds hollow. Bunny thumps and scratches and the like WILL be amplified a bit. I suggest grass mats or similar. Overall we're pretty satisfied with this hutch. There's a few minor things which I think could be easily addressed at the manufacturing level if they so choose, but they can also be addressed by your average handyman/handywoman if he/she is so inclined. If we were planning on using this hutch outdoors I would probably have added a sealant to the paint, reinforced the seam where the two back panels meet, and definitely mounted the wheels so that the wood stayed off the ground. As an indoor hutch, however, it nicely balances useful space for the bunny without being an overly intrusive object to the humans in the house.

So I have had lots of ferrets and have always had two story cages. And I have now had multiple vet trips with ferrets hurt from falling or getting stuck and hanging from bars. I have a trio of senior ferrets and thought something had to give I didn't want anyone else getting hurt. I was super skeptical with the reviews they are all over the place on quality. I couldn't be happier with the quality. This took my husband and I two hours to assemble, and yes I would recommend two people, but it was not complicated and only took us that long because I was so worried about breaking something. I also added led strip lights to the back because my babies are spoiled and like a night light. Now I will say, if you have crotch gobblins walking around like godzilla that ruin everything in their path this is not the cage for you, a toddler falling on this or being rough with it I could see it breaking. I have an adult only area where my ferrets live. I have never been able to keep my ferret houses so clean. They always had accidents outside of the box in other cages, not one since this cage, which is a godsend. Having a side enclosed for strictly the bathroom is a life-changing the little cubby fits the litter box perfectly. I am considering buying another just to have a brand new one on back up even though this thing will last years. Oh this thing is biiggggggggg, had to sell furniture to have the space to get it, I don't regret a thing!

This was a awesome buy at first. Perfect for our rabbit. The cage part, was very convient to clean and drawer made it even easier. After time though our rabbit began to make a bed out of his hay because the grids would bother him and he loved being in the cage part to have a open view to everyone. I also place towels down to help him. The house is perfect for him for when he is mad or scared with a little window to look out of. Now the wood removable part in the house is discolored and terrible. Not water treated so pee, and water not a good idea. The grates although great for cleaning, its hard on the rabbits feet after a while. Towel or blanket will help Because the house and strature is built out of wood, our rabbit chews on it all day long trying to escape. his partner in crime also tries to help with bitting it from the outside. The door that comes down in the house, the latch broke quickly and I had to come up with ways to fix it. The cage door with the sliding handle as a lock. Is not rabbit proof. Both rabbits have figured out how to escape so it has to be blocked with something heavy. We love this cage, the orginal look, many entries, the drawer on thebottom for easy cleaning.... but there are a few things I wish were thought out little more.

At first glance, this hutch looks great—nice design, seemingly functional, and it should be a cozy little space for your bunnies. But once it arrived, it was a total nightmare. The entire structure was so badly bowed that it couldn’t even be assembled properly. The back had a one-inch gap right in the center, which completely defeats the purpose of it being “leak-proof.” Not only does water get right in, but it leaves an open invitation for any small critters to crawl in. Totally unacceptable for something that’s supposed to keep your pets safe. I reached out to the seller about the issue, hoping they’d at least make it right with a replacement or return. Instead, I got brushed off and offered a lousy $10 refund. That’s it. No return, no replacement, no real support—just “here’s ten bucks, deal with it.” The materials are ridiculously cheap. The wood is so brittle it practically crumbles in your hands. Within just a couple months, multiple parts have broken or fallen off. The ramp snapped off from my small bunnies simply going up and down it. One of the main crossbars from front to back split and ripped the screws right out of the wood—again, all because of how warped the whole thing is. I’ve had to reinforce this thing with wood glue, extra screws, and other materials just to keep it semi-functional. Honestly, it’s been more work trying to keep this hutch in one piece than it’s worth. You really do get what you pay for, and this is a prime example of that. Don’t waste your time, money, or energy on this garbage. Save yourself the frustration and invest in something built to last. This isn’t it.

Happy rabbit. Easy to install. Took me 30-45 mins. Instructions is somewhat not the best as diagram is confusing. I also wish they put letters on all parts like the screws to easily identify

I read SOOOOO many reviews of different cages before purchasing this one. This brand has several different styles on here. All pretty much say the same thing, some have a bit better reviews. As many reviews said, there was some split wood, but it was in the back of the pull out tray they you do not see, but we were able to use wood glue to glue it back on no problem. My boyfriend did fine it strange that a lot of the screws just go directly into the wood with no pre drilled hole. We were a bit worried about the wood splitting when we were screwing in the screws. The holes that they did pre-drill for the ramp mid level was not accurate and made putting those screws through very difficult. The from is not screwed together and I have noticed that it has started to kind of bulge out so I will probably be putting screws threw that so that is does not do that. It seems very study after all put together. The wheel on the bottom are fantastic. It rolls so easy even on our carpet. The bunnies seem to love it. We have two Lion-heads in ours and there is plenty of room for them. They are usually cuddled up in the same section. I was worried about them chewing on the walls, but a saw a review that said if you give them enough stuff to chew on they won't chew on the dividers and it has worked so far. The trays don't do completely to the back wall and my bunnies do occasionally pee there so it runs down the back to the floor. We got these puppy training quick drying carpet mat things that we put under which we love. Keeps everything off our floors and the mats are machine washable. I would recommend!

The cage is very good and easy to assemble, but unfortunately it is too small for a rabbit, so I had to buy another larger one. However, if you want to get guinea pigs, a couple of them will easily fit in this cage.

This hutch is great. Easy to assemble. Took about 45 min. Lots of room for my lion head bunny. We installed a pet fence around it so he can have even more room to roam. He loves hopping in and out. It is made of wood. Our bunny chewed a bit of the ramp but not the house itself. There’s a ramp and a door to the cage part. Half the roof of the cage opens. And the roof of the hutch part opens (if you only screw in one side of the middle part).

Use this as a chick brooder. Its fantastic, i took the top level out and hung a heat lamp. Plenty of room for day olds - 4 weeks.

I was impressed by the quality of this for the price. It was also very easy to assemble, it comes in less pieces than I expected. It is only suitable for small rabbits, but is perfect for the little guy I bought my nephew.
