This is a fun light and it is great how they give you two and it comes with two light holders (the bendable neck and one that directly plugs into an outlet. When you plug it in, it immediately starts to turn slowly and emit a rainbow display of colored dots up and sideways. I live in a single wide mobile home and my living room and kitchen are one large room (open layout) which is in total about half the length of my house. This light filled the entire room. It looks cool when you look at the light ceiling directly above the light which has multiple rings overlappingThe light bulb holder with the bendable neck is not strong enough to hold the light bulb. After I lifted it to the highest position with the bulb in it, it slowly lowered itself downwards due to the weight of the bulb which is really light actually). I’d suggest you put the bulb in a ceiling light fixture or a stand up lamp so it can be in the center of the room. That way you make the most of the light. If you put it in an outlet using the light bulb holders provided, half of the light is lost since there is a wall in the way. Also, outlets are usually lower to the ground or blocked by furniture.The actual plastic frame of the bulb is very cheap however. I think it would break with one drop. Then the clear plastic top to mine have a bit of a crack which honestly didn’t matter to me and doesn’t affect it’s function any. They are extremely lightweight which is very nice. The part that screws into the socket and the parts inside the frame are made better. It is nice that you can remove the top part of the frame easily since it is just held in place with a Phillips screw. I find it a little strange that the plugs are not polarized (both prongs are the same size instead of one being bigger than the other).In conclusion, nice item. Cool effects for a low price. I grew up with a real disco light in my parent’s basement. It was an old, large light that my dad found in some old warehouse I think. This light’s display is better than the effect that old disco light had. And this light is much cheaper, uses less electricity, and is probably 1/8th of the size. Fun item.

These are super easy to use and ready to go righ out he box. Very bright and the kids love it.

These little disco lights are perfect for a kids birthday party or any party really where you need some fun nightlighting to liven up the place. They are really easy to get working. It's as simple as just plugging the cord that it's connected into an outlet and flipping the switch to the on position and that's all she wrote! They spin on their own and you'll more than likely have to hang them from an outlet thats up above you for it to work in the ways it's supposed to but I'm sure there are many ways to place the lights that don't require it to be from above that I just didn't try out so keep that in mind. It comes with two lights and they are moderately bright for what they are. They are a fun and neat little light to help brighten up whatever event or party you may be hosting!

The media could not be loaded.  I purchased these for a newly renovated basement space. I wanted to add a bit of fun to the listening space by adding this quirky disco light. It’s totally fun and adds excitement to the room. Most of my guest always comment on the light and how fun it is.The light construction isn’t the best. It plastic is brittle and the rotating plastic piece is a metal shaft connected towards the top to the base. It’s only attached through a hole in the center so the piece itself can rotate. Occasionally this metal rod will start to detach from the base. It slowly unscrews itself. It’s easy to detect because it’ll start rotating slower than usual. The plug in bases are useless. They couldn’t support the weight of the light and barely stay plugged into the wall without the light attached. The craftsmanship is poor as well. I personally will not use the bases as they seem to be potential fire or electrical hazards.While inconvenient, it’s not the worst. It comes with an additional light so it’s not the worst for the price. I’d recommend if you need a fun, cheap lighting option for a party. I wouldn’t suggest if you’re looking for a more long-term quality option.

First off, the plug with the gooseneck on it, I feel, is the best to use. Depending on placement, the little plug can literally fall right out of an outlet. The extender allows for better weight distribution. Both can still work though.The party lights themselves are pretty awesome. Plug them in, and you have an auto-disco!Haha. Coolio!Still definitely worth the purchase!

these are too fun! the kids love having the "disco" style light when we have our family dance time. easy to use in any lamp.

This is a very fun party prop. My set came with two sockets and bulbs. Plugged in, the lighting does reach the walls and the ceiling at 8 feet with no issues during the day. The lights are bright and spins with no obstructions. I placed one at each side of the room and was able to light up the room to spinning disco lights.The only issue that I encountered is that the weight of the socket and cable are not balanced. It is too heavy and pulls the plug away from the wall. I adjusted the cable to keep the plug in the wall so it does not fall out. A good piece of tape to hold the plug in place solved that for a temporary fix, but not permanently.Aside from the plug issue, this is a cool item.
