Don’t be fooled by the hard sponge when you take it out of the packaging, when I soaked in water it becomes super-soft and spongey.Lathers up a treat and left my skin feeling soft and squeaky clean as it gently exfoliates, it also last a long time, my current one is on week 6 and still going good.I’m definitely converted from my non-eco-friendly old plastic scrubbing gloves.

This is a natural plant root product that arrives as a very hard sponge in a recyclable card box. Before use you need to wet it, this softens it so that it then behaves more like a traditional sponge. It is smaller than I anticipated, but does have a nice texture – it’s rough so really feels like it’s exfoliating, but without being harsh. Given its small size, I found it more suitable for face and neck rather than for the body. The description says it should last about 5 weeks before starting to disintegrate – at which point it can be composted, so no nasty waste.5 weeks isn’t unusual for the life of a bath/shower sponge, but at the current price of £8.50 it will be too expensive for many.

Bought pack of 3 each one only used 3-5 times then the crumbled to bits. Nothing like konjac!

It feels better than an average sponge, however after using like 2 weeks it started to break down in pieces. The size is kind of smaller than I expected.

These are lovely Konjac body sponges. Lovely packaging upon arrival. Good quality, nice and soft not scratchy, long lasting and nice palm size. Lovely as a gift idea.

I have quite sensitive skin and have to be careful with the products I use but I’m two weeks in and this Ethosa sponge has been brilliant so far. I suffer from acne so it’s reassuring to know this product is more hygienic than standard face cloths.I fake tan quite a bit and it’s great for exfoliating between tanning sessions! It’s also nice to know that it’s made from 100% natural materials and I can throw it out with my compost when I’m done.

Started to come apart after using every other day for 6 weeks or so. Quickly disintegrated and became unusable. Until the was okay, though on the small side and not the same water absorbent capacity as a sponge. Wouldn't purchase again
