I got a great comforter to go inside it, so that helps, but the thickness, softness, and richness of color on this cover make me very happy. If you want a lightweight cover, this is not for you. This feels great to crawl under!I washed it when I received it and the lint wasn't too bad for brand new flannel, and there is no sign that it will produce a lot of lint as I use it. The fabric feels very high quality.I read another review about smell and I was concerned as I am very sensitive to all chemical smells. It had an odor when I opened that mostly went away when I washed it once in hot water. I could smell it a bit for the first night or two, but now nothing. It's a true, bright white which is what I wanted. Wow!! Arrived quickly and I was immediately impressed with how soft they were. I washed and dried them as the instructions indicated. Drying them on low took double the amount of time but so worth it. Both the duvet and sheets came out of the dryer softer than they were upon arrival. Super happy with the weight and overall quality. All fits as expected. I compare them to a very expensive set I had years ago and these are equal if not better.
