A practical and economical option for home sewers with domestic machines. Makes quick work of bobbin winding without the hassle of undoing a threaded machine.

Not the ideal winder for users of plastic bobbins, but the machine seems solidly built and the motor sounds really robust. I'm using it to wind thread for machine embroidery and it can do about 2200 revolutions before the bobbins start to risk being snapped in half. That leaves the bobbin about half-filled which isn't ideal but saves wear on the embroidery machine itself. I use a tiny shim of stabilizer to keep the bobbin from getting whipped off.It'd probably be perfect for metal bobbins and is much nicer than the Singer winder I tried which -also- broke bobbins while its motor whined like it was dying. It'd be great if it had instructions on adjusting the settings available here, but they do exist on the internet. Hold down A and B for a few seconds and the number of turns will display. One buttons will increase the flashing digit, the other will swap the selected digit. Holding A and B again will save the settings.

I received a fancy bobbin winder with my Baby Lock quilting machine, but it was difficult to use (and they cost almost $300 separately!) This is very basic and does the job easily. But the instructions are minimal and you'll need to get used to how to thread it. There is no on/off button, so I got one that attaches to the plug.

Use it twice quit working. Do not buy .

I love how fast this winder works. Winds faster than I could get the thread in the little hole, lol.
