Great sun hat! I walk a few miles every morning with my dog & hike often. This hat is study but folds up easily. It has a wide brim to protect my face & neck but the hat isn’t so big to overwhelm my small face. The strap is comfortable and holds up when a sudden wind has blown away other hats. The teal color is beautiful and my daughter in law liked it so much I bought another one for her. Perfect balance of stiff enough to block sun but flexible enough to find up and lightweight.

Just beautiful! I have two, and the price is awesome for the quality! Got the darker brown earlier in the summer, and now this blonde one. Price is right, sun coverage is awesome - yes, you can wear it working in your garden all day long and brim is wide enough to cover a slim woman's neck, decolletage, and shoulders. Seems so broad on me (a slim woman), but when I catch a glimpse of myself in a shop window as I walk in my neighborhood, I am struck by how lovely it is, and not ginormous or weird on my frame at all! It's actually, dare I say it?!? STYLISH!I have worn this hat wine tasting in a flowy summer dress and gotten compliments on my "look." This sun hat isn't just for the garden, friends! Wear it to a garden PARTY, wear it to a picnic, wear it on a hike, wear it shopping with your girl friends on that charming street that has all the antique-y places!And just think, so many people are walking around in the L.A. sun carrying futile parasols or sweating away their chemical sunscreens! I have both hands free for my groceries and fun purchases and no nasty chemicals running down my neck, and better sun protection than any of those poor souls! This sun hat is just so practical, pretty, and purposeful. So glad I have two, and the quality and sturdiness is such that I feel sure they'll last a few summers to come!

I ordered the Sloggers Women's Wide Brim Braided Sun Hat with Wind Lanyard in grey blue after overheating on a hiking trip in Slovenia (I know it's supposed to be cool in the Alps, but it wasn't). I do not like myself in hats and usually forgo wearing them, even though I know I should. But, after suffering stage 1 heat exhaustion, the writing was on the wall. Now to find a cute hat that did the job. I knew I liked wide-brimmed hats but it's hard to find them with features that hikers need. This one has it all. The shape and fit are flattering. The color is a gorgeous teal blue with a darker blue band under the brim. There is an adjustable strap that attractively circles the top of the hat and then can be worn behind the neck or under the chin on a windy day. At $29 (currently with an additional 20% off coupon, the hat is reasonable compared to those I found in brick and mortar stores. The material is made of 65% paper and 35% polyester; it's heavy enough not to fly away but breathable. You can bend the brim into the shape you want around your face. I'm very happy with this hat and think it'll meet your needs for shading your head and face on the trail, at the pool, in the garden, or around town.

This is a very durable and nice looking hat! I work in a garden center where we're out in all weather types 8+ hours a day and this hat has been able to withstand everything.Pros:- The size of this hat accommodates many different head shapes. I have a smaller head to match my slender frame and this hat fits perfectly! I tried on a few different "women's" hats of several different brands, all of which were much too big. This hat fits comfortably.- The brim is wide enough to cover your face and neck while not looking ridiculously large (even on someone with a slender body type).- The material is flexible but still retains its shape even after rough and long-term use. (I've even sat on my hat a few times and it's still in the original shape!)- The hat material is woven together very well to keep the sun off of you while still giving the hat a nice lightweight feeling.- It protects your head well in the rain. In heavy rain, the hat will become soaked and begin to droop (which honestly should be expected. It's not waterproof which in my opinion is what allows it to breath well).- The "Wind Lanyard" is made of a soft pleather material with a simple wooden bead. The lanyard has been very durable and effective, even in high winds.- It's very easy to keep clean. Throughout the day my hat gets dirt, water, dirty water, and many other things on it. Rinsing it under some water and dabbing it dry with a towel has kept my hat stain free and still in great condition. I even spilled a soda on it once, rushed to the kitchen to rinse it off, and there was no stain.- I have gotten MANY comments and questions from customers about how nice my hat is and where they could get their own! This is a nicely feminine work hat.Pro/Con:This one is both a pro and a con depending on what you need: This hat offers no insulation in the cold. If your working outside in cold weather, you'll need to have a headband or winter hat to keep your head warm. Alternatively, the hat stays rather cool on hot days. In 98 degree temperatures, I was much more thankful to have the sun off my head even if I had to deal with the slight bit of extra heat I felt from wearing the hat.Cons:I haven't found any yet after 10+ months and counting.Conclusion:This hat exceeded my expectations and I'm planning on buying another one. Bought this for my mom...again. She’s on her fourth one because she wears them constantly. Great sun protection, lightweight, comfortable, and the wind strap keeps it in place. She swears by it for gardening, walking, and just about everything else. If she loses this one, I already know I’ll be ordering a fifth.
