Better than other options out there
Honestly I am pretty impressed with this little unit. I am able to water about 20 plants in my green house. It’s perfect for my set up as the greenhouse is not close to any water source so i utilize a rain barrel and this device to water all the plants in my small greenhouse. It has saved me multiple times especially when i go away on vacation. I let it run everyday now and have had no issues. Super easy to set up and works perfectly. Edit: 6 months later and the unit still is holding strong. Absolutely no issues.

Worked perfectly! Easy to setup!
Great product. Had low expectations but actual use has been great. Used for a one week vacation and the plants survived. Kept using afterwards and it has operated with no issues. Using a 3 gallon water container - that will work for 3 days - need to find one a bit larger but a friend was able to go and refill every three days and rain also helped.

20 droppers literally means 20 plants!!
The unit appears to work great and was really easy to set up. My only complaint is that the pictures are misleading and the description wasn’t clear enough for an inexperienced buyer. I purchased this to water six round planters at a vacation rental property I own. I didn’t realize that the unit wasn’t powerful enough to handle that. The drips are slow enough that the water doesn’t spread much. That said, if I had single potted tropical plants, this would be perfect! It would also be ideal for a planter box with larger plants and each could have their own dripper.

Perfect balcony watering helper
I've had this set up on my balcony in Seattle for a few months, using the 200ml setting and feeding out of a 7 gallon water jug. It has allowed me to get away for the weekend without needing a plant sitter. By watering well before I leave and when I get back, the irrigation system keeps the plants from drying out on the days I'm gone. I have the 20 emitters divided across 4 planters, totalling 12 square feet. It's been easy to reconfigure as I rotated plants through. The only time it stopped working was when my petunias grew over the solar panel and blocked the light. Swapping in charged batteries and repositioning the unit fixed it right up. Wrapping the water jug in reflectix bubblewrap helped keep the reservoir temperature down during our killer heat wave. I was hesitant about the price, but so far pretty happy with it. My one wish is that it could put out more water in a session or do multiple sessions a day automatically. Providing it continues to perform through the fall, I will consider getting a second one for next season!

AVOID Purchasing Claber - Broke in 1.5 Months
Before you purchase this Claber, please consider my experience if you are in an area that has extreme light and heat conditions. While lengthy, my account will explain the limitations and failure of this system that occurred within 1.5 months of receiving it. I strongly encourage my gardening colleagues and social media followers to integrate technology into their gardens - especially in areas that experience strong heat and sunny conditions. I found a lot of success with rain barrels and watering drums with solar timer/pumps in areas where water availability is cumbersome or limited. There was a lot of interest in the Claber 8063 Aqua-Magic Drip Irrigation System, but the price point was alarmingly high for a lot of gardeners and patio-scapers. Considering that the Claber can not be programmed to deliver water multiple times a day and can only supply up to 200ml (just shy of 1 cup of water) to a maximum of 20 plants, the system is fairly restrictive. High heat and sunny conditions in excess of 6 hours a day often require multiple water amounts and frequencies. Knowing these limitations, this Claber purchase was intended for a shaded garden application in Central Florida that required a maximum of 200ml of water to be supplied at the base of 20 plants in a sequence of raised beds. This Claber was to draw from a food grade 55 gallon elevated water barrel. Careful attention was given to the system to ensure it was placed on a dedicated post six inches above the highest water line in the barrel. The system was installed, started and ran successfully for six weeks before an issue presented. I noticed the plants on the Claber lines were sagging and tried to manually activate the Claber. It did not turn on. It was then I noticed the solar panel was littered with tiny fractures. I removed the batteries, tested them, found they were dead and replaced them with new batteries. The system sprang to life, but weary of the failure and the solar panel, I monitored the system for the next few days. On day three, the system did not start again. I contacted Claber and shared the conditions and photos. While Claber responded quickly, they were concerned the solar panel was hit by something. Since I filmed the unboxing and the install (placing the device on a dedicated post - where there is nothing to hit it - and the solar panel is recessed in the unit surrounded by plastic that is unmarred), I didn't agree of the cause for the fracturing of the solar panel and felt I was in no way responsible for it. Claber and the manufacturer have never seen a solar panel fracture like this and suggested I start the warranty process for a replacement. However, I elected to forgo the hassle. My colleagues mentioned that micro-fractures are a form of solar cell degradation caused by the thin silicon in the solar cells thermal cycling (the silicon cells expand during the day with high temperatures and shrink at night when temps cool down). So, even if I received a replacement, it would fracture too. If the cells continued to work, I would gladly send in for my replacement, not caring about the cosmetics, but the fracturing rendered my Claber into a $129 outdoor paperweight of disappointment.

Working well
So far, so good. The system was very easy to install and is watering 4 hanging baskets and 8 pots with no trouble. I have it set to about 1/3 of maximum and the water in the 10 gallon pot I am using lasts about 3 weeks (enough time to go away and come back to blooming flowers). Only a few weeks of use so far and I will update if problems occur, but based on experience to date, I'd thoroughly recommend and am considering a second system for more pots.

Can't control how much water
It's working well but very limited options. You can't water more than 4 liters per day. You can't water twice a day. Can't add drippers if you need more than 20

Happy with this little pump
I’m pleased with my Claber solar pump. You have to supply your own rechargeable batteries, so that’s a bummer, but ever since I popped a pair of eneloops into this it’s worked like a charm. Mine only gets a couple hours of sunlight a day, and yet it’s still giving me a green light on battery status after about a month of operation. I run it daily at its 100 or 120 setting (out of 200), so it’s moving about half the maximum amount of water it can in one session, with one session a day. It’s not enough to project water out of anything, but if all you need is some drips or a nice little trickle this should work quite well. I’m very pleased with mine!

The instructions were simple to follow and understand. We set this up on our balcony with ten drippers, set to water once every three days. Working nicely two years and then the solar panel became defective (too much sun?). Contacted customer service by email and they were VERY helpful to get it working again. They recommended a polishing compound. I tried one from Dremel and it cleared it up completely! Next issue was to order new 2x HR6/AA 1.2 V NiMH rechargeable batteries. Works now perfectly! So happy with the excellent customer service.

The system has already made a difference as we prepare for potential hose pipe bans. Plants are looking better, we are spending less time watering and using less water. Quality of product very good, as is on line support. We have already ordered 2 more Claber systems for other part of the garden. Only one small comment about installation. Claber claim the system takes 15 mins to install. However it took over over 15 mins to install the main unit before we got onto the watering points. The unit has to be at the right height for the water supply and this meant trying different positions for both the water butt and unit. Would also add that we looked at the Claber reservoir and thought this to be too small and expensive. So went for a 100l mini water butt, which is perfect.

Excelente para espacios pequeños. Si tuviera carga USB sería un Super plus. La carga en días nublados es un tema.
