Marvel Legends Series The Defenders Figure 4-pack (Amazon Exclusive)

Fantastic set overall. If you're a Marvel Legends comic character collector, this is an awesome pickup. 2 of these figures were pretty pricey to find on the secondary market (Luke Cage, which was part of a rare SDCC exclusive box set and Daredevil, which was a single-packed, highly sought-after figure). Both Daredevil and Luke Cage are awesome if you missed out on the previous releases, and they're slightly different if you already had those figures. Iron Fist is new, sporting the shirtless look. It looks great next to the earlier released green costume and sports the same updated articulation. Jewel is entirely new and is done very well. The hair sculpt is also soft, making it much easier to move around.Overall, I didn't have too many issues with this set. Some of the limbs were warped due to the way they're packaged, but can be fixed with a little hot water/cold water. The paint was very clean on all my figures and I was really excited to add to my street-level character comic shelf. Hasbro hit a home run with this one in my opinion. My only wish is that these multipacks should come with a bit of a discount but I'm sure this set will be on sale in the $50-60 range regularly.

Pros: beautiful box they come in. All figures have great articulation, it's the comic designed defenders not the tv show version.Cons: they are repainted of daredevil, iron fist, Luke cage. Some paint scuffs on my figures. Wish they came with my interchange hands for these figures.Facts: the price on this set goes up and down a lot I paid 71.80 and sometimes it's in the 50s then back up to the 80 dollar range but don't be surprise that it hits the 100 range

I know there are a number of both the Iron Fist and Daredevil figures out there is variations but this set is seriously still worth it. A number of my friends say this is the best Iron Fist to date and the Daredevil is a repaint of the Walgreens exclusive, making him better scale with other ML figures. But, honestly, this set is all about the Jewel and Luke Cage and do they ever deliver. Cage is the size of the Tombstone figure and Jewel is a collection of enough different aspects to make a distinct and fun figure.

If you're a ML collector, then you know what you're getting with this set. With the original Cage missing from a lot of people's collections, Hasbro wisely re-released him knowing it would be a no-brainer that many collectors would want him. But, in an typical Hasbro move, they made him part of a set with two other figures that most collectors already have versions of in order to maximize profits. But, this is still a worthwhile set. The highlights are obviously Cage and Jewel (Jessica Jone's superhero alter ego) with Daredevil and Iron Fist being the add on's. The upside is that these versions of IF and DD are more aesthetically pleasing than their other releases. It's nice seeing IF with the bare chest so that his dragon tattoo can be seen (although I would have preferred his original costume look which wouldn't have taken much more effort to create) and DD is a simple color reversal of his original release with some much better painted billy clubs. The Jewel figure is definitely nice, but I could see how she wouldn't be a major "need" for most people's collections as she's not active in her superhero costume very often. It also would have been nice to have seen a new head sculpt for her rather than it just being a repaint of the Silk head (who is an Asian character and Jessica is not.) So, let's face it, this set would probably be an easy pass for most collectors if not for the Cage figure. I like him better than the SDCC Thunderbolts version, but there's not much difference other than a few paint changes. If you prefer, you can remove the metal gauntlets very easily, but the metal shin pads on his boots are obviously painted on. If he had a simple pair of jeans with boots, that would be been preferable for me. All in all, this is a worthwhile set for hardcore collectors who want a complete collection, and new collectors who may not yet have previous versions of these figure.

Overall this set is amazing. Had a few issues but minor, like warping on the legs and arms of all but Daredevil, nothing I coudnt fix. Jessica Jones has some bad paint apps on her forearms, that's about it. This set is amazing and for the price of $75 ain't bad. Now they just need to realease a Netflix version so use that didn't get to go to SDCC can get a Ironfist.

I don't like much that Marvel comic books follow the development of their cinematic universe. I think it should be the contrary (movies and tv series much closer to comic books stories): I'm a nostalgic... Maybe for this reason, I liked very much that Hasbro has taken the opportunity of the Defenders tv series for producing this set of Marvel Legends figures, representing the four characters in a comic-like costume. A beautiful set, a must have for any collector. I'm particularly glad about Jessica Jones, finally available in the 6" scale in her super-heroine disguise.

This is the set I've been waiting for! a modern Luke Cage, much better than the Toybiz sculpt. I was bummed out I missed the San Diego Comi Con Thunderbolts box set. Basic rehashes for DD and Iron Fist with some paint variation. The same sculpt used for most Hasbro females figures; including the same head for everyone, but it's awesome having a Jewel figure regardless. Iv'e been a fan of Marvel Knights for years especially Bendez's run on DareDevil and Jessica jones, and this collection makes me so happy, now if I'm just waiting for a Colleen Wing figure and the heroes for hire shall be complete!
