Hayward MaxFlo XE 1.65 HP 230/115V Ultra High Efficiency Variable Speed In Ground Swimming Pool Pump Replacement, W3SP2310X15XE

Our last Hayward pump died during hurricane flooding so we were eager to replace it ourselves and ease of install was very important. We went from a single speed pump to this variable speed pump and found: - 10 minute install from our last Hayward pump - Simple variable speed settings (this is not programmable from a phone or tablet, so keep that in mind upon purchase) - Very quite (more than our last one, which our neighbors appreciate) I would recommend this if you are looking for a lower priced variable speed pump that is easy to install!

2nd Update: since Hayward wouldn't replace the pump again, we had a pool service company come out and replace the motor. This part had to be ordered thru Hayward. After 11 months, the motor went bad again. THIS PUMP IS A NIGHTMARE AND WILL NOT LAST. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY OR EMOTIONS ON IT. TOTAL WASTE. Update: Hayward sent me a new pump, and that failed after 14 months. They will not replace it again. Do not buy this pump. I replaced my pool pump in March with this expensive maxflo, leaving for 4 months to Colorado, feeling confident that I had a brand new pool pump before I left. My pool company called me 4 weeks ago to tell me that the pump had died. I'm still in Colorado for another 2 months. I have three calls into Hayward to see if they will honor their warranty with no response. Every time I call they tell me somebody will call me back and they hang up on me. Absolutely terrible they don't honor their lifetime warranty and that this pump is total garbage for this price. Now I'm stuck with a $1,200 pool pump that doesn't even work, a green algea ridden pool, and nobody from the company to call me back. DO NOT BUY!!!

This pump was super easy to install and has worked absolutely perfect for a year now. Very happy with the purchase and cannot go wrong with a Hayward. I love the different speed settings and the schedule you can set up.

My 7 yr old Jandy croaked so I ordered this online to get it put in quickly. My pool guy connected it after removing the old one. Took him about an hour. Works great. Very impressive. My pool is very deep and has over 30,000 gallons. It is staying really clean. Well worth it. I do occasionally have to check to see if it is running because it is so quiet! lol. I have it set on the energy efficient 3 levels of power setting most of the time. Easy to program with only one button with instructions - so hold on to those.

It does not move the water all the time.

Bought May 20th 2023, worked great for two years and now I have to manipulate the push button several times at different variations to start. The flashing start button “code” stats the pump motor is failing, which it sounds like when it attempts to start/run/turn over, but doesn’t. I’m out of warranty and out of luck.

You will not be able to program this to work from your phone or tablet. I wish we’d known it was a discontinued model or we wouldn’t have bought it. You can manually set a schedule from the pump but the instructions are shady at best. You can download the revised manual “B” from the Hayward website that explains it best. When you get it set it runs nice and does the job.

This unit has a programmable speed motor. You can set the pump speed and 3 time schedules. It's very quiet too. I think it's more energy efficient than the old motor too but I haven't had it long enough to verify that yet.
