yes, you have room for your toes, but the overall shoe is too narrow and it does not fit comfortably, had to return it. Good concept but needs to be perfected.

On the plus side, this is a very comfortable shoe. It has a wide toe box and a secure heel as you'd expect from Altras. The tongue is padded and very comfortable.However, this shoe is not what I expected from the Escalante range. It seems much more heavy and cushioned than usual, in fact it is about 30g heavier than my Torin 5 Luxe shoes. If you are looking for a replacement for Torins (especially if you don't like the thin tongue on the current Torins) this would be a great option. However, if you are looking for a lightweight shoe like older Escalantes, this is not it.I returned this pair - not because I didn't like the shoe (I would have kept it if I didn't have a relatively new pair of Torins), rather because it's not what I was looking for as I was expecting a lighter, more nimble pair of shoes.
