Review: Informative, easy to follow, excellent recipes! - Informative with a lot of nutritional values, macro breakdown, and what type of juicers the recipes would do best in, as well as a detailed index in the back. Very easy to follow, the instructions were clear and precise. A vast array of excellent recipes that all tasted surprisingly well, and the chapters helped with finding recipes that suited my goals, whether for skin, brain health, digestion, weight loss and much more! Highly recommend! Review: Your How-To Guide For Jumping Into Juicing! - This book is fantastic! Although it is geared more towards novice juicers, it definitely has something to offer for everyone trying to maintain a healthy lifestyle. This is not solely a recipe book. It incorporates facts, history, and prepping tips about a long list of various fruits and vegetables. It also tells the reader why certain combinations are most beneficial for certain recipes. For instance, one recipe calls for celery and carrots. The narrator discusses what happens when you blend the two together by noting their complementing tastes as well as the types of vitamins and minerals the drinker is ingesting when drinking that particular recipe. I also enjoyed the pictures and cutesy names for recipes such as, โBeet The Clockโ for an anti-aging juice recipe and โBreakfast Mojitoโ to give it a brunch-y, drink feel. Chapter one and two could be guidebooks on their own. They fully break-down the three central juicers that are on the market and the advantages and disadvantages of using each one. There are helpful charts peppered throughout too in order to look-up quick prepping methods, calories, the type of juicer you as an individual should be using and/or buying, and ingredient substitutes. From kid-friendly to diabetic recipes, there truly is an option for anyone looking to jump into juicing. I do have to disclose that I received this book for free, but I would still purchase it regardless, as a consumer.

Best Juicing Book for Beginners
More cookbooks should be like this one. Each recipe is labeled with the equipment you need, the nutritional benefits of the ingredients you are using, and how it is supposed to taste. Salty, sweet, spicy, earthy, grassy, citrusy. It's quite helpful, and I wish more cookbooks (technically, there's no "cooking") were like this. What's particularly helpful is that the recipes are organized by the function you want them to meet: energy, mood, hormones, diabetes friendly, digestion, etc. I can't wait to try the Sleep Aid for an Energetic Morning, which features romaine lettuce. Romaine lettuce? I never knew romaine was so good for you, but you would have to eat a ton of lettuce to get the benefits that juicing gives you. And I never even thought about juicing a jalapeno pepper before this book, but now I will. I also loved the puns in the names: The cure for what KALES you, and The BEET goes on. What's best is that this book talks about the different types of juicers, how they work, and what foods they best juice. We need more recipe books like this one.

You can't live on juice alone (but these sure are tasty!)
I know, I know, I know. Before anyone gets on Amazon to review a book about juicing and talk about how it's NOT HEALTHY FOR YOU and YOU NEED TO EAT and IT'S NOT SUSTAINABLE, just know I KNOW. For me, juicing fruits and vegetable serves two purposes: a great post-weekend detox (a few days of beers and burritos will do a number on your digestive system and beer belly - yuck), and as a way to use fruits and veggies that I am often prone to wasting. It's not that I don't LIKE celery, it's just I bought a head of it and the recipe for a weeknight stew called for ONE STALK. I'm not really into munchin' on plain celery - so this book that offers dozens of juice recipes for everything from sweet berries to celery and beets and ginger was exactly what I needed. Delicious, nutritious, and the perfect way to start the day. Now, if only it would CLEAN my juicer too... hmmm. (psst - read the beginning of the book - there are a lot of great tips I didn't know about types of juicers and how they should be used. My cheapo works fine but I'm not thinking about upgrading)

Great recipes
I really like this little book. Sometimes I feel recipes are the same but they are not. There are slight tweeks. I do NOT follow recipes and add or subtract as I feel and still this is a good guide. You know kinda like when a recipe calls for 1 clove of garlic and we add 4 heads of garlic instead. That's me! I loosely let the recipe guide me. These recipes are easy to do that with and still taste great.

Yes, I really did like this one.
Very long title, very useful collection of recipes and insights. Really, rarely do I pick up books about juicing. I have been juicing for years. I had a successful little juice bar that kept me busy providing prepared bottles for hurried customers on their way to work each day. They dropped off the recipe they hoped for, I created the mixes. Easy to please when it tastes so good. Thank you to the Author and to Mendocino Press for this wonderful and useful tool for my health and happy juicing. So far the Basil Mojito is my favorite but don't take my word for it. I have to admit, my mixes were not this good and I really enjoyed so much information about the varied reasons to drink these recipes. Also, the beginning of this book will really clear any confusions you may feel over juicers and why to use each type. Then there is the extra insights into how to keep the ingredients fresh whether refrigerated or stored on the counter. I was also very impressed with the information about ingredients that do not release juices and how to use them anyway. Yes, I did really like this one. Hope you do too.

Great "starter" book for those new to the concept of juicing.
The Juicer Recipes Book has something in it for everyone. Its pages are packed with well over one hundred recipes that anyone can make using simple ingredientsโmainly fruits and vegetablesโwith one of three types of juicers. The chapters are divided into juice categories that cover the gamut: brain-boosters, alkalizing mixtures, anti-aging concoctions, weight loss and kid-friendly juices, green juices, and many more. There are also nutrition charts and helpful tips on how to store and prepare certain ingredients, as well as what canโt be juiced. Although I understand that this book is intended for those who own juicers, I was a little disappointed at not finding a few amended recipes for those who utilize blenders. Still, the useful information in The Juicer Recipes Book inspires me to want to purchase a juicer of my own to use in conjunction with my blender. I give this book 3 ยฝ stars because of the fabulous color photos in its e-book format, along with the content.

Juicing can be easy and fun
I never thought I'd become a juicing fanatic but it is really amazing how good I feel after I started juicing. About me, well I would eat fast food pretty much every day and never exercised... And when I heard from my doctor that I had high blood pressure and dangerous cholesterol levels, it scared me enough to try something new. I decided to try juicing. It's pretty easy because it doesn't require a huge lifestyle change. All I have to do is make and drink a veggie and fruit juice everyday. At first I wanted to just drink V8 but when I found out how much sodium was in it, it wasn't going to help my blood pressure one bit. So I bought the author's book. I wasn't expecting much but I knew I had to try something. My taste buds are used to sweet things so in the beginning I had to add more fruit to most of the juices to make it more to my liking, but after a while I didn't have to make it as sweet anymore. It's like my taste buds "came back". Juicing has given me more energy to play with my kids, and as a side effect I've lost over 8 pounds without changing anything else. My skin also looks more youthful and clear which is amazing. But you know what they say -- you are what you eat! If you want to be healthier all around, juicing is one of the easiest things you can do for yourself. It is a simple lifestyle habit anyone can stick to, and I'm actually looking forward to my next doctor visit!

Excellent little book for the juicing beginner
Excellent little book for the juicing beginner. The recipes are simple to follow and most of the ones that we have made have been tasty. The ingredients are simple and available in all stores. There is also a good guide to prep fruit and veg as well as how long each of your juices will last in the fridge. Well worth the 99p kindle store price.

Juicing
Quite a good book. Easy to follow. Some recipes I personally wouldn't use. But others are really good. Lots of information too.

Great Juicing Recipes!
Just bought a juicer at the same time as this book, they came together though I ordered the book a few hours after the juicer so that was great! The recipes are very good, love the description in each one of the benefits to health, and the way the book is organized. There are a few photo's not on every page but enough. Lots of information too on juicers, and how to prepare the fruit and veg for juicing. Overall I am very happy with this purchase, and also with the juicer I bought!
