My wife is a quadriplegic, which means she has dexterity issues with her hands. She's always managed her own fingernail care, she always dreads doing it. She can't use clippers, and has always feared letting someone else do it because if they flinch right before they clip it could tear the nail at the quick.This takes away all of her concerns and gives her total independence. It takes her a quarter the amount of time to do her nails. They all end up so even and smooth. She's able to keep her nails the length that she wants them. Total game changer!

I received my trimmer and charged for 2 hours..... nothing. unit was bad out of the box, total waste of money.

I got this Electric Nail Trimmer because I'm not too fond of rough fingernail edges, yet I prefer to avoid filing my nails. I had read this might help with rough edges and such.The trimmer leaves a very nice, smooth edge all the way across. After many uses, It's extremely quiet and won't bother anyone. In fact, it can be hard to tell when it's running if there is much background noise. It also seems very safe. I never had any "surprises" of cutting too much or hurting myself. I was nervous there might be an annoying vibration, like a grinding wheel. Nope, you can tell it's working, but it isn't "grindy" or annoying.I'm so very glad it has a clippings tray! Out of sight, out of mind. I love this feature!The USB charging port is a type C, which is excellent!This nail trimmer is not hard to use, but it does take a couple of tries to get used to. It worked well each time. A glance at the manual fixed every problem I had (I shamefully admit I tried to use it without reading the manual). It only took a quick glance, and I was off and running.It also isn't fast. It's great for regular maintenance! I use this to clean things up briefly every few days. It really does the trick! It does work for longer nails. I just takes a few more passes.I'm glad to have this electric nail trimmer! It does the job well.

I purchased the trimmer for my husband. He’s delighted with ease in trimming his finger nails but complained that it doesn’t work on his thick toenails. The older we get it seems the thicker the nail bed.

This only worked well on my husbands thick nails. Thinner nails like mine or kiddos were basically shredded and roughly filed. No way I'd use this near a baby or toddler, their nails aren't substantial enough and would probably tear rather than trim.

I have several young children who do not prefer to have their nails clipped. This has become a great clipping alternative! Its strong enough to use on my adult nails yet safe and gentle enough to use on all my children who are all under the age of 5yrs. I did only try it on our finger nails because 1) its gross to use the same clippers on both feet and finger nails and 2) I thought it would be a little bit too tricky to try and use it on toe nails unless they were really long! It does come with a charging cord which I love because I don’t have to worry about buying batteries for it. I can simply plug it in when it needs to be charged. I love the catch basin for the nail trimmings too. Its the perfect size and so easy to empty after trimming. The very best thing about it though is that it has a very, very thin slit for the actual nail so i have absolutely no worries or fears of my skin or my children’s skin being shaved or cut. This is really a game changer for trimming nail. I can also guide it along the natural shape of my nail very easily so its smooth when I am finished trimming.

Bought this to trim my toenails but it does not work. Disappointed.

I used to hate doing my nails because of how much of pain it was having to clean up all of the stray clippings. With this thing all of my nail files down into a little reservoir where you can empty it into a trash after your done with all of your nails. Because of this I have been able to start clipping my nails essentially ANYWHERE. I highly recommend this item
