I don't have the stake pushed in as far as it can go down because I am trying to light my children's trampoline. So I need it a light higher. The height would work great if you are trying to light your garden or walkway. I am using them for a unique purpose so keep that in mind. But they work great and I am pleased with the amount of light it provides. I wanted my children to be able to play outside when the sun starts to go down. We are surrounded by trees so when the sun starts to go down it gets really dark in our yard. This gives them extra playtime. I took these photos at 7:55pm on a September night, in Pennsylvania. This is not our typical usage time but I wanted to show how much light they shine when it's very dark. Good lighting for how dark it was. It rained for the past 3 days in a row. Today was the first day without rain and one of the lights got some water in it. (Photo included). I am not deducting stars because the wind and rain caused the solar light to fall and it was laying on the ground for about 3 days. Remember, I do not put the stake as far down as it should go, so it falling down is my fault. The water is NOT the affecting the brightness and I am hoping it will dry up. I will try to update my review if it doesn't dry up or if the lighting diminishes.

Not really bright enough

Nice and bright but the stake for these lights is short so these lights are close to the ground. Good basic light, cannot get motion sensing to work
our walkway from the driveway to the house is not well lite so these solar lights are great for helping to see at night. This particular unit -- I am unclear if it actually has motion sensing or not. The production descriptions says not on Amazon. The instructions that came with the light says yes. I cannot find a way to switch modes and there seems not to be a sensor on the unit. So far, it comes on at night and turns off at dawn. But no motion sensing.

Effective spotlight
This definitely works. Easy to set-up and install. Love that it's run off of solar. Gives off just enough light for a spot-light and/or to luminate an area. Smaller than it appears in the picture - be sure to measure the size/space for this piece.

Solar spot light
Nice and durable!! It works and was easy to use!! It could be a little brighter but it works perfect in my yard!!
