**Q: I just purchased this but was expecting drops. How exactly do you apply this? I have been using a cotton ball to apply on/around eye but not in the ey**
A: Hello Ash,My bad I made the assumption you got the spray.The gel is the same as the spray but made thicker so as not to run and to adhere better to wounds in hard to treat surfaces where it would run off.It also adds more a protective layer to an open wound.In most cases this could be dropped on directly but that's not very practical around an eye.Using a cotton ball as an applicator is a good idea but you will use far more than needed since cotton balls are highly absorbent.For an application like you are describing I would unscrew the bottle top and dip a Q-tip in and then apply.You will get a targeted application that way without wasting much.

**Q: is it supposed to be watery? mine is. It's not gel like at all. Do I need to shake it really really well?**
A: Not suppose to be watery. You need to shake it as I've noticed if its sitting/not used, it gets watery consistency. It is supposed to be thicker like gel. Be gentle when you squeeze, because it will gob out.

**Q: Does this help eliminate dog red eyes?**
A: My dog did not have red eyes really, but he did have itchy eyes.  Therefore his eyes would get a little red if he was pawing them too much.  These drops have helped with the eye itch.

**Q: Is this steroid free? can it be used on birds?**
A: Item does not contain steroids and according to product label it can be used to all animal species.
