PC Printer DB9 Pin Serial RS232 Switch Box, Metal Housing 4 Ports Manual RS-232 Data Switcher for PC Sharing to Serial Device

I have to say after having some time to try it out this RS-232 Serial Switch Box does exactly what it is supposed to. I use mine to switch between several RS-232 devices for radio communications. I use it for programming radios and for operating an external radio receiver (manufactured before the days of USB radio dongles). It is very stable and does what I need very well. I have no issues with this box to report at all.

I have been working on a variety of RS-232 based gadgets to hook to my old Radio Shack Color Computer, and this cheap box saves me a bunch of plugging and unplugging. It's metal and well built and does what it claims to do. The first one I ordered was damaged in shipment and dented, but it was quickly replaced by Amazon.

This is just what I needed to switch multiple serial ports on my progect. It seems to work well, but the push buttons are a little unsure unless you really press and hold. If you don’t press hard, sometimes the button pops back out and you really don’t know what the switch is set to. I have only had this happen a couple of times. Other than that, it works as intended.

Unit came in a timely manner and after I connected it, it worked fine. I would recommend this product and would purchase it again.

small compact and well built

Great device, works as advertised. I used to console into multiple network devices at once prior to roll out. Some assembly required

The splitter works great. It showed up fast and works like the description says it would. What more could you ask for.

Size was important in my decision. It has to mount somewhere in which space was limited. The push buttons are easier to operate without moving the box than a rotary switch. It is what it says it is :)
