It works brilliantly and has tidied my desk up beautifully. Simply plugging in one USB 3 cable has given me 2 external monitors for my laptop and all the USB ports I need as my laptop only has 2. It's such a godsend having extra USB 3 ports available. Software installed OK after downloading the lastesdt version from display link website. Couldn't be happier

This is a very good universal dock. I use it with a Dell E5570 laptop and all features work superbly. I was sceptical about the video wiring via USB 3.0, but it works without any lag or issues. The Ethernet port, USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 hubs ask work as expected. This is an easily recommended dock.

Excellent dock, and refurbished at this price, just amazing. It does almost everything I wanted, and makes my desk much tidier 'cause all those separate cables I used to have to plug directly into my Mac can now be replaced with one USB connector (and the power supply). If I had a later MacBook with only two ports this would be even more useful. Install the drivers (different versions depending on whether you want to use your laptop in "clamshell" mode or not) and it just works. There is only one drawback: On my current version of MacOS (Catalina) the DisplayLink driver works by using the operating system's ability to allow recording of screens to redisplay the content on monitors connected to the dock. However a number of streaming services, including Netflix and NowTV, detect this, as they won't allow illicit recording of their content, and blank the screen. So if you're planning on using this device on a system where you also want to watch some form of streaming, then you might want to do a bit more research first. I have confirmed this is still a problem with Big Sur. I’ve not been able to test Monterey. Good luck.

Connect my Surface Pro 2 to my Startech then to my Aten QubiQ 4 way KVM and now where I had 1 USB port I have 4 and a large screen monitor and proper key board and mouse.

We have the same model at work so I thought that it would be a good idea to get one so I can work from home easily. After being in use for several months I have not had any problems with it and it is used on both of my laptops. I have a wireless keyboard, mouse, headset, external hard drives and also my monitor all connected to the startech docking station I have seen guidance from western digital that their hard drives can have problems if they are attached to a docking station rather than the computer directly but I have not experienced that issue

Was a great price at £39.99 and really let me work well from home.

This product simply did not work with my Acer TravelMate. The software provided would not download drivers required to operate this system. I tried updates from StarTech, no result. On contacting StarTech, who did reply promptly, I was told they were going to provide new software to overcome these problems, so hopefully others will not have this issue.. By this time I found the whole affair so frustrating I had returned the product. Kikatek, the suppliers, did return my purchase price promptly on a no fault basis. So I had to pay return postage, although if not the item itself, provided software was clearly faulty.

Works like magic for my Dell laptop. A must need to working from home setting if you only have laptop.

Meine Wahl fiel auf diese Dockingstation, da bei meinem Matebook 14 zwar ein USB C Ausgang vorhanden ist, aber darüber keine Video Daten übertragen werden. USB 3.0 Ausgang ist 2 x vorhanden, also blieb nur ein USB 3.0 Dock. Es funktioniert super, ich habe einen Monitor über die HDMI Schnittstelle und 2 über das USB 3.0 Dock gleichzeitig laufen.
