for a not surgical standpoint
I made this purchase for other purpose than surgical use (miniature art work), but I make sure the materials I use are are worthy from a construction and life-time point of view. It looks and feels very well made so far.

They do not grip for fine hair removal
The forceps are thick and do not grip the hair. I use the jeweler forceps to remove offending eyelashes.

NOT STAINLESS STEEL
These are NOT Stainless Steel unless they have developed Stainless steel that sticks to a magnet. I'll keep them because they're not worth sending back but they are definitely not made from Stainless steel.

Well made and accurate
I purchase these to help clean threads from embroidery and to place beads in needlework. Perfectly suited for that purpose.

Doesn't close at tip
This thing is useless for what I purchased it for, which is to pull brush- hairs off paintings I am working on. The tips are not filed well or parallel, so it doesn't actually contact at the tip.
