"Chew Sap, Not Plastic." THANK you…!
I was chewing plastic. I had absolutely no idea. Then I learned about it and was mad at myself for not knowing sooner. Plastic! "Gum base" is plastic. Yeah, I thought I was taking care of my teeth but instead all those microplastics I was trying to avoid were being released right into my mouth. No good. Now what? Enter this gum. Refresh. Yes, the best. "Chew Sap, Not Plastic." THANK you! Plant-based chewing substance—"chicle gum base." Bonus: no "bonus" microplastics! Plus it's really good. A real pleasure. I can look forward to it again now. Three flavors safe for cats to be around (cats are not okay around mints or citrus—especially essential oils since they are unnaturally concentrated)—bubblegum, raspberry, and peach. All very good. Plus the pieces are huge so you can get away with only using one and still clean teeth after meals. I had to use multiple pieces of the plastic-based gum to get the job done. Expensive cheap gum that was. Totally love this brand—very transparent—and love that I found a safe—zero plastic—gum alternative. And this is actually the best gum I've ever tried. So much better. It tastes really good and does not leave that weird chemically aftertaste in your mouth. It works, it's safe, and it's Refreshing…! Had to do it.

Terrible- breaks down fast
I really enjoyed the taste and flavor. The texture when you first chew it is really nice. It’s smooth and has a good bite. However, within 2 minutes of chewing it completely breaks down and comes apart. It turns to a disgusting mush that you can’t chew. Really gross and a waste of money.

Best Sugar/Plastic Free Gum So Far
Summary: This is my third brand of chicle/xylitol mint gum and unquestionably the best on a piece-by-piece basis, mostly due to longevity of flavor, which contributes to value as well. Details: Refresh mint is the most expensive xylitol/chicle gum I've tried on a piece-by-piece basis because each case is a few dollars more, and each container in the case only holds 12 pieces (versus ~14 from other brands). Despite that, its still a better value because a single piece holds its flavor quite a bit longer (maybe 2-3x) than 1 or even 2 pieces from other brands. The secret is the unique (at least so far) hard "candy" coating, which creates a burst of flavor up front and contributes to longevity. The trick is to bite through the coating into the gum and embed the former into the latter. The size and chewing consistence of each piece is basically indistinguishable from every others in the category. I haven't encountered any sticking or consistency changes over time that some others have described. Another minor gripe is that they don't include paper to wrap expended gum like certain other brands, but tissues and napkins aren't generally hard to come by. My most biggest complaint is subjective: I don't prefer the "garden mint" flavor versus traditional spear or peppermint. The "garden" flavor comes from the Matcha powder added to the coating (unclear if this includes caffeine) which might turn people off. I understand they're trying to differentiate themselves from a field of identical mint gums, I just think they've already accomplished that with their coating, and would have been better served with a traditional flavor.

I really wanted to like these
I do not want to chew plastic. Love the concept of this gum. It was delicious for about 45 seconds but the flavor faded so fast it was insane. Three minutes in the texture was still fine, but flavor was zero. I chew gum to freshen my breath, and this gum does not have the capacity to do that. I really hope they are able to make improvements because I would like an alternative to regular chewing gum. The flavor profile is great. The texture is fine. Just need to make the flavor last. As it is I can not justify the price.

Good flavor and ingredients
The peach flavor is mild but good. It tastes natural and it is. The chicle does stick to my dental work on one side, and it gets increasingly sticky of an hour or so. That isn’t a big deal though, considering this isn’t laden with petroleum byproducts. I’d prefer a slightly sticky chew to a plastic one any day. Update: the stickiness I experienced the first time was a one off. I’ve tried a few more flavors and garden mint is my favorite. I chew one piece of gum all day while I’m working. This is the prefect texture and never breaks down like plastic gum. This is such a superior gum, it’s hard to understand why petroleum based synthetic gums are the norm.

Love this gum
I love this gum, I enjoy the flavor, I love that it includes xylitol, and I love the degradable packaging. It’s expensive but worth it to me

Good quality made gum
The gum has a nice peppermint flavor but it doesn’t last long. A little tough at the beginning but it’s to be expected with it being all plant based and no plastic. It has stevia as a sweetener, no added sugar. Love the design of the box, it’s simple but looks good.

Blech
I loved this gum when I was able to get it at my grocery store. Unfortunately, this isn’t it! What little raspberry flavor dissipates in less than a minute and leaves or rather putrid taste. Additionally, not easy to spit out into the trash as it sticks. Very very disappointing. What a waste of money.
