With 8 eyes, classic leather, yellow stitching and grooved sides, the 1460 carries the DNA of the original Doc Martens boot. The only key difference? A narrower design for women. Built to last, this women’s boot is forged using one of the finest methods of construction: utilizing a Goodyear welt and heat-sealing it to the sole. The 1460 is made with highly durable leather and sits on an AirWair sole, which is oil and fat resistant with good abrasion and slip resistance. Use Dr. Martens Wonder Balsam to protect the leather and keep your boots clean, soft and supple. Channel your fierce inner girl rocker with the 1460 boot from Dr. Martens. Its iconic leather upper is spiced up with vivid attitude while the thick lug sole puts that certain toughness in the silhouette. Lace up a perfect fit and hit the town like a rock star in this fun find.

Great pair of boots!
I have always wanted a pair of combat boots for a really long time but have been hesitant to get them due to the high cost of good quality leather boots. I finally decided to get a pair since I will be getting a motorcycle soon and went with Dr. Martens because of the good reviews.Upon receiving them, they were very stiff (of course) and slightly uncomfortable around the ankles. But after walking around in them for a whole day, I felt the boots conforming to the shape of my feet. The second day felt better and it just felt comfortable from then on.I wore long socks on the first two times, but came to realize that ankle socks worked fine (just make sure your socks won't slip). The boots look great with almost anything I wear (rompers, shorts, pants/jeans, dresses, etc.)! And the best part for me is that they look great with wear; I tend to treat my belongings, especially shoes, roughly.I'm no expert on boots but in my opinion, these boots are great and I highly recommend these.

Beautiful boots but beware!
If you don't know anything about Doc Martens, please do some real research before you buy them. They are beautiful, sturdy, all-purpose boots but they are an absolute nightmare to break in. I bought these months ago now and after casual wear they are still in the process of being broken in and they still rub my heels and give me blisters. You have to really work at these boots to get them to be soft and comfortable; they are made of the stiffest leather I've ever felt. Online sources recommend slamming them against the ground or pounding them with rubber mallets, that's how tough these boots are. That being said, they are unbelievably cute, go with any outfit and from what I've heard, they'll easily last you 10+ years. JUST PLEASE DON'T BUY THESE AND THINK YOU CAN WEAR THEM ALL DAY AFTER YOU TAKE THEM OUT OF THE BOX. You can't. You will die. Take it slow, do your research and you will have perfect, wonderful boots that are strong and last you a lifetime. Mine are still a little uncomfortable but I love them and I'm considering other colors. Great buy.

True to size! The reviews are right - you do need to break the shoes in
Love love love these boots. I am usually a size 7 - 7.5 in US women's. 7.5 is more comfy for me so there's a little more room so my toes are touching the inside of the shoes, but I ordered the UK 5. I ordered the Smooth Black (which are also supposed to be a tougher leather according to research) . They fit fine with 1 pair of normal Hanes socks etc.I've been trying to do the double layer to "break them in" , wearing a pair of those long, thick, fuzzy socks with ankle socks over them and it's a bit tight to fit in. I haven't had issues with the back of the shoe where it dips in by the Achilles tendon (maybe my ankles are thin enough it doesn't rub much on the back).A LOT of people complain about blistering and how uncomfortable theses shoes are at first, but I honestly haven't had any problems. My biggest issue, though, is on the top of the foot the shoes also dip in and it is a bit tight. You can start to feel pins and needles, especially if you have cold feet already like I do (poor circulation maybe, haha). I think the leather just needs to be stretched out. I don't want to pay for it, so I'll do what I can to stuff them when not in wear, and maybe try the frozen / hot water trick. I was also told by a friend to get the leather balm to maintain the condition of the boots.I wear these around the house for a few hours (they do make a squeaky sound) and I have also worn them out for a couple hours per day, and there wasn't much of a difference. I guess start slow and take breaks in between wears. Maybe I'm just lucky or my feet are the right size to fit comfortably in the shoe, but this is a great purchase. Arrived right on time and good packaging, and the price is amazing compared to retail!I Googled and stalk the shoes a ton before finally ordering ( and I never tried them on in a store, which may be a good idea), but I am totally happy! Best of luck to you

Wowed!
Wow! I was looking for a pair of high top sneakers for my injured/swollen/operated on foot. I came across these and they are AWESOME! I got the white ones; which cost more, and I love them! One kid said they looked like 'Michael Jackson' boots and 3 other people said they look like 80's white roller skates!!!! I need: toe room and ankle support. Had surgery on foot and have permanent neuropathy in R foot, no tendon reflex in ankle, so I tend to wipe out. I have purchased a million pairs of sneakers looking for cushion for the R foot- the neuropathy has affected the bottom of my R heel. So I am in pain, still swollen from foot surgery on 4/7. After all the sneakers; these boots are extremely comfortable for my bad foot! Shocking to me! Buy for looks, buy for comfort! I ordered 2 more pair in black for my twins. At the price, they can't be beat. They do look totally legit to me- read reviews but they are totally leather- no Doc Martin stamp on them but the inside soles have it as well as the pull tabs. High quality and highly recommend!
