A Treasure!
I am not sure how I found this, but for my family, it is a treasure. My father, Herbert Carrington, was a man of principle, and he and some other key individuals fought a year-long battle to give military servicemen the right to vote in Texas where they had previously been excluded from voting because they were in the military. My father watched as my mother, who was foreign born, was allowed to vote while he was not because he was a member of the military and did not originally register to vote in Texas because he grew up and registered to vote in another state. My father won the case in the U.S. Supreme Court. Thank you for publishing these court documents!
