Q: Does this chair fit in a standard 1960s bathtub? The floor of the tub is approximately 13.5” across, while about 20” at the top of the tub.

"Standard" (non-designer) tubs today are pretty much the same as what I used as a kid (1950s). Outside dimensions seem to be approximately 30" x 60" long. Inside at the top is about 24" shrinking to about 20" at the bottom. This unit was designed to sit on a flat, horizontal surface, which a bath tub floor is not. However, it is quite stable mid-tub (and I'm 200 pounds), which is what I now need to safely, independently bathe.
