After buying (and loving) a single nail clipper more than 5 years ago from this company, I bought this set for my husband in May 2017. He fussed at me, saying he "already have a set that works just fine"... but my skin knew better from the way his "just fine" nail set left his nails less than smooth. Since he didn't want it, I put it next to my reading/TV chair. One night while we were watching television, he was chewing on a nail (ewww) and I asked him to stop because he was grossing me out, and I offered him my (formerly his) nail set. His reaction was "HOLY CRAP, these things cut like a knife through butter!!". Naturally I had to ask, "Really? Are they better than YOUR set which, as I recall, works 'just fine'?" Yep, I made actual air quotes with my hands... I'm that kind of smarty-pants. He's used to it.NOW FOR THE UPDATE: About a month ago he informed that the large clipper broke. The pin that allows the handle to swivel had broken, causing the handle to fall off. I called the company, spoke to a very pleasant lady who apologized effusively and said she would dispatch a new pair pair. Two days later, they arrived at my house!! So I came to update my original review to let others know that Germanikure does indeed stand behind their LIFETIME WARRANTY. Seriously, no questions asked- they immediately sent a replacement. That's when I discovered that I had not submitted my previous review. With that kind of blunder, perhaps I should tone down my Ms. Smarty Pants attitude.

Some of the things I look for in a good pair of nail clippers are:- easy to manipulate,- not so sharp that I take any skin with the nail,- strong enough (leverage) to chunk through a tough thumbnail,- the curve matches my nails enough that I can work across the nail easily,- and the gap between the cutting edges is enough that I can easily get the clippers onto my nail.This set checks ALL those boxes, with a beautiful design to match!My only complaint is the nail file. It’s some type of etched glass that I’m not familiar with. The sensation of the file grated on my nerves more than it did my nails. So I purchased a metal rasp type nail file that suited my preference.I also kind of feel like a tweezer should be a part of any basic manicure set. Skip the nail file, give me the tweezer!The case is really nice and has a feel of quality. There’s room for me to put my replacement file and my tweezer!The magnetic closure has a satisfying thud like a luxury car door. And it has the added bonus of holding one of the tools in place if I just lay it down in the case while I use the other one.So in the end I’m happy. Looking forward to many years of service from this set.

I was looking for a clipper set to replace my third broken set that came from China, I searched on and off for about three days until I found this set made in Germany. I figured Germans make quality cars, so why not?I am so glad I did! This is absolutely the best clipper set I've ever had, clean cuts even on my thicker thumbnails. Absolutely recommend.

Wow! This nail clipper set surpassed my expectations. Truth be told, it is very expensive, but that's because it's made out of quality materials and made to last. Yes, you can buy a much cheaper nail clipper set or even sets for the price of just this one set, but you will not get this type of quality! It has two sizes of nail clippers; smaller one for your hands and the larger one for your feet. They cut through my nails like butter. No complaints! The glass nail file is something new to me, but it actually works really well! And as a bonus, you get a really, really nice real leather case that has a very nice and solid magnetic closure. I actually enjoy opening and closing the leather case each time I use it, because the magnetic closure is so satisfying to hear it close.

I have been on a years long search for a finger nail clipper that is ergonomically designed, super sharp, and is big enough to clip my nails carefully and efficiently. And I have found one that does this to perfection - the GERManikure clipper. This one has a superb fit and finish. A very slight press and the nail is clipped.The nail clipper cutting edge is 1/2" across and the toe nail clipper is just over 5/8". While I've used other good clippers (Revlon, Tweezer, etc) none comes close to the GERManikure.An added bonus is that this toe nail clipper actually works. I've never found a toe nail clipper worth using and I'd always end up using the finger nail clipper on my toes. This toe clipper really works on toe nails!!A nit: Does not have an attached file.

I love these sets! I have arthritis in both thumbs and hands and these are so soft, smooth, and easy to use! I’ve tried others and they hurt. I’m on my third set around the house. They also last a long time. I’ve only had one pair break after continual use between two people on tough nails for over 8 years. I would highly recommend this brand!!!

Jaws don’t open wide enough. Surface area very slippery. Device will squirt out of your hand easily. Will be returning product.

I almost returned this. In fact, already initiated the process because the cutter does not open wide enough BUT, decided to give it a try. I’m glad I kept it. Cuts nails so easily. These tools are sharp. On the expensive side but worth the efficiency of the tool.
