During the installation of a new boiler in the kitchen, there was damage around the boiler cupboard, which had be taken down for the installation, and dirty water run down on the wall underneath the boiler. I intended to pay a professional to re-paint the kitchen walls, but the price was sky high. I decided it'd need to be a touch up job by me. I'd a look on Amazon for matt magnolia emulsion, as I'd to throw out the touch up paint I'd had for years last Spring. The smaller size touch up pots were very expensive, it seemed better value to buy 2.5 litre pot and then have it at home for future touch ups. I bought Johnstone's paint as I'd used it in the past in the bathroom, the price was reasonable and the product had good reviews. The paint arrived very securely packaged. But despite there being this way up arrows on two sides of the box, the address label was stuck on in the other direction, meaning that the pot was upside down during transit. Therefore I wasted a bit of paint and time cleaning the lid before putting it back on to avoid the paint 'glueing' the lid to the pot. I was surprised that the Johstone's paint was a fairly good match, meaning that my touch ups were not too visible. I'd have preferred the paint to be thicker as I'm very messy when decorating.
