A family heirloom!
I rarely write reviews, but I am so happy with my disc I felt obliged to share. I have wanted a discada for a couple years now. I was going to make my own, but after specing out prices of new plow discs, it was not cost effective over buying one from SW Disc. I couldn’t be more happy with my purchase. It is so versatile! I use it for frying fish, pancakes, bacon, grilled cheese, steaks, stir fry, etc. Although I have a propane burner, I primarily use it on top of my rocket stove (see pics) and the combination is fantastic.Cooking on this beast is really loud! It’s like ringing a gong. My nearest neighbor is over 1/4 mile away through the woods, and she can clearly hear it when I’m whipping up stir fry.My only regret is not getting one sooner. Support a veteran owned company. Get yourself a family heirloom. You are going to love it!PS I have found a galvanized trash can lid is a perfect accessory. Place it on top of the disc to retain heat, steam veggies, or keep flies off while you’re simmering your carnitas.

Great Grill - but read carefully what you're ordering
Wow, where do I begin.Love it for what it represents. Love it for the ease of use. Love it for the ease of cleaning. Love it for the menus and other things that Southwest Disk provides to their clients. Why not five stars? The total package comes in multiple separate pieces - many not available. This was not clear and it was weeks before I could use the actual device. I ordered the "Disk," which is shown with a burner. I didn't read the fine print, mea culpa. Had to purchase the "Disk," then the burner, then the lid and then the cover. Each piece required waiting for availability, which wasn't forthcoming. I eventually got everything but the cover before (after several weeks) giving up. Perhaps they should offer complete kits (and have the stock to fulfill them). Someday, hopefully before winter they'll offer the cover.

Best camping frying pan ever.
The 1st time I used it I made sure to cure it using lard and its worked perfectly since. I’ve fried chicken wings, fish fillets, hash browns, sausage gravy and even used it like a oven to make cakes and biscuits by making a steel lid to hold coals. What’s really great is you can move cooked food up to the sides to keep it warm while cooking other ingredients in the middle. It cleans up quickly and the handles make it easy to hang up for storage. I wish someone made a canvas storage bag for it though.

Incredible Craftmanship on this Discada!!!
This big boy is going to produce some serious amounts of food. True American craftsmanship at its best! With minimal care (wipe out when it's warm, then wipe it with an oiled rag) this beast will be a generational treasure to e passed down through the family. Can only imagine the priceless seasoning I'll put on it before one of my kids inherits it. Guess my only dilemma now is to order 3 more so all 4 kids will have one some day. I got the 24" Rio Grande with the oval "Trinity" handles. The handles are really substantial and comfortable, which is crucial on such a substantial piece of equipment. Captain America would be so lucky to have a shield like this!

It cleans very easily while still hot with water
I have been using this for over a month and I make every excuse to get outside and cook with it. Cooks bacon to perfection and puts sears on meats and vegetables that are just not possible with any other piece of cooking equipment. It came pre-seasoned so I was able to cook with it right away. It cleans very easily while still hot with water. This has been the best addition to my cooking arsenal and you will not regret this purchase. It is very heavy and solid and will last a lifetime and only get better with age. I have it paired with an Eastman Outdoors burner and it works perfectly.

Southwest is the best.
Not paid to day this, also- not a professional. I just love to cook, and I’m great at it. This product is insane quality. These guys are not joking around when they make their product. Don’t be fooled by cheaper discs, they’re thin!!! You can’t beat this price for quality 1/4 steal. Highly recommended from a 2x buyer of southwest discs... and I’m not easy to please.

So far this product has been a joy to cook with. Cleaning is easy once you fully understand how and when to. I believe it’s a must have item if one enjoys outdoor cooking, grilling, sauté and much more. Love Love Love this conversation piece as well among guests.

Heirloom quality cookware
One of better purchases - easy to use and clean. We’ve used it for scouts, at home, over a fire, and on a propane burner. Just keep it seasoned and I imagine this will be an heirloom piece of cookware.
