We know have six of these Kasa outdoor plugs that are used mostly for outdoor decorations and we could not be happier with them. They have held up over multiple seasons worth of weather - no failures or issues at all thus far. They are dead simple to use and the app is very useful. Setting schedules is a breeze which works great for decorations. I set these up across our house, rename/label the plugs as needed, and set up schedules. After that I don't have to think about it at all which is what I want. Manual on/off is handy for testing and for using something quickly without needed to remove the plug.

I've had one of these for about 6 months now. It's on my roof deck with exposure to prevailing wind and rain, limited sunshine. So far, it's worked flawlessly.I do have several other Kasa devices (lights, socket, camera) so was fairly familiar with the app and set up. For me it was very easy to add this device and set some schedules. We use it to control a couple of sets of roof light strings, and I love that there are two sockets on here that I can control and set timers for individually. Great flexibility.I haven't yet seen any evidence of issues with water getting in, despite being in a location where it gets a reasonable amount of direct rain. Survived one Northern Hemisphere winter and feels like it'll last through many more.Solid reliable product, decent app support behind it, it just works!

Like our Kasa ceiling fan switches & 2-way wall light switches, this unit works simply & works well. It couldn't be simpler to set up & use.Getting it registered on the TP-Link (Kasa) website took a little finding. You have to select it from all the other outdoor Kasa devices.The switching works quickly & flawlessly. We're using the Kasa website's timed on-off features for outdoor lighting. It's perfect.

The plug works fine with the Kasa app. However, it does NOT work with Alexa. The setup requires you to scan a QR code associated with the « Matter » logo on the box, neither of which can be found there.

The build quality is solid, with a weather-resistant casing that’s rated to handle rain and extreme temperatures (it has an IP64 rating for water and dust resistance). I’ve used it in light rain and during high humidity, and it’s still working like new. The two outlets on the plug are independently controlled, so you can automate and control each outlet separately, which is perfect for outdoor lights or holiday decorations.The plug has a robust, thick cord that seems durable and capable of standing up to the elements. Great smart plug. I use it for my Christmas decorations and have created a schedule. It turns on and off automatically and I don’t have to worry about shutting anything off. I bought two, because I keep on adding more and more decorations 🫢 I haven’t had any problems or issues with connectivity, once you connect with your network, it works great. It is easy to use, and there are instructions on how to connect with your phone and internet. You can set a schedule as I mentioned above, and you can enjoy your Christmas decorations or whatever you are using it for without having to constantly worry whether it’s on or off. It is very convenient, I’ve used it for 2 years, and just last year I bought another one. I connect several lights that I use in one outlet, but try not to overload it much.

Had wemo it didnt stay connected to wifi well. Switched to Kasa LED Strip lights a couple months ago they have been amazing stay well connected to Wifi. With WEMO decding to stop supporting outdoor plug, picked up this beauty on Amazon to replace it. Absolutely AMAZING!! It just works and super simple to setup.
