So far so good
So, just got the 16" power shovel last night and we just got snow and ice on top of it all day so had a good test case to try the unit. Putting it together was relatively easy and takes about 20 minutes to complete. Provided manual is not very friendly and requires some reading between the lines but I wouldn't consider it difficult overall.Once I got it assembled, I was able to try it on 3" inches of snow with a hard glaze of ice on top of it. Test surface was a wooden deck with pretty even/level pressure treated planks. The unit functioned perfectly and shot the snow quite far away and lot of aggression in it's throw with no vibration effect to the handle/user. Almost felt like using it on 3" snow is an insult to this unit as the official recommendation is a max of 8" of snow. I was able to clear the whole deck with no major effort on my back and within 1/10th of the time it would take me with a shovel. It has two midsize wheel the unit balances on which carries the weight of the unit and makes it easy to move around. It takes a little getting used to with the proper tilt angle where more upright to hold and push it it cuts the snow and fully clears the ground but if there are any uneven surface in front of you, even by 1/8" it will stop you on your tracks. Which was the case I have encounted on my wooden deck where there were few uneven spots. These can be easily addressed by either tilting it back a little to jump over the obstacle or maintaining a tilt permanently throughout. I would love to see a adjustable tilt option which does not exists as the unit purely designed for manual manipulation for angles and directions but no doubt it can be added with a little custom modification. Also, adjustable speed could be a nice option as I don't always want to thow the snow to 30 feet away. Then again for 80some dollars you can't expect too much. I can clearly see the impossibility of using this unit over any non flat and uneven surface. At a minimum you will get interruption or very likely you will destroy your auger which is rigid brittle looking plastic instead of a hard rubber which the bigger cousins of this design uses in the larger units with a chute. There are directional adjustment available to an approx 30 degrees to the left and right, however, they are not more than 50 percent effective. A fair amount of snow still blows forward even when you direct them to the side. After the job is done just left it in the garage for it to release all the accumulated ice/snow on it which wasn't much and next day it was as good as new. Here is the pros and cons I was able to identify:Pro: - Very strong motor: This thing spins like crazy at a very hight speed and throws the snow really far away.Pro: - Light weight: For a snow throwing device that has so much power the weight of the unit is very reasonable however I wouldn't want to hold it in the air to surface cut something like a 12" snow but very manageable to move between surfaces and positions. The two supporting wheels are absolutely a great help where it makes the unit super light weight to push.Pro: Affordable replacement parts: American lawnmover company have a website with available replacement parts with everything at a fix price of $13.09 regardless of you need the auger, belt or scraper. This means the likely eventuality of destoying your auger will not cost you more than $22 including the shipping assuming you can handle the replacement yourself.Pro: - Price: mid 80s price tag is surprisingly attractive.Con: Plastic auger: Due to brittle looking and feeling rigid plastic nature of the auger you will very likely destroy it sooner rather than later if you encounter a store, thicker branch, frozen newspaper etc.Con: Parts price in comparison to whole unit. So, assume you go lucky and used it for a few years without problems and decided to replace the auger, scraper and belts. It will cost you close to $50 with shipping. more than half of the total price of the unit. The whole unit costs 80some. So, is it even worth to replace parts or just trash it and get a new unit.I will update my experience if and when I encounter deeper snow and possible stray stone, rock, branch encounter and the associated damage.. Currently it is a keeper in my book!

Great snow shooter!
Great snow shooter! 30' plus when dry and fluffy, 15' when wet.It cleared the deck (12x28) in less than 10 minutes! This thing came broken, little tabs inside mounting head had really short screws and broke off during shipment, box was pretty dented and beat up, so no fault of manufacturer, I was able to find 2.5" long self taping screws and put it together. It took about 30 minutes to assemble, would have been less if it was not damaged in shipping. That's the risks we take living in Alaska...snowblower has a strong motor, easy to use, wheels are great. Handle is a bit short for me (I'm 5-11") but my wife loves it and it cleans down to the surface just fine. Overall good deal for the price.

Throws the snow!
Easy to assemble (20minutes) and does a very good job of throwing the sidewalk snow on my city sidewalks. Works well to clean up down to minimal thickness, but is not intended to absolutely clean the sidewalk, additional scraping or treatment would be needed. However, this power shovel does a great job for which it was intended. Much lighter and maneuverable than even the smallest electric classic snowblower. I am very satisfied with the product

Easily Broken! Not made last long!
It's one of those unfortunate things you buy when you dont need it and when you needed it it broke on the 1st run.I bought this last summer 2020 because I thought with my age, I need to start saving my back and stop using the snow shovel. I had to wait and finally got our 1st big snow in our area. Assembly was ok and instruction were good enough that my 1 year old was able to build this. I had to correct a few errors but he manage to assemble the device. One grip during the assembly were the screws were no labeled that's why I had to correct my son because he was putting long screws on short insert and vice versa.I did some dry runs a couple of times and it is powerful, you can really feel the blower working with so much torque. Finally, I started plowing and it was working fine so I had my 14yrold enjoy it too. He got to some areas where the snow was packed so I looked over and started running this back and forth. Now, I got to some really packed snow and those snowmen packed inside the augers and caused it to seized. The augers and the inside are made of rubber. Soon as I smell burning rubber I knew that this thing isnt made for for big chunk of packed snow and break them down. This thing lasted less then 15 minutes. Also the design of the blower horrible it can only blow snow slanted to left or right. So, you are going to packed snow that's ahead of you instead of moving snow onto the side. I'm gonna have to look in the warranty on this thing if it has any.. or may be get replacement parts that are made of metal

One Word Excellent Machine and Well worth it!
After checking out several Snow Shovels, I decided to go with this one. We received our Earthwise SN70016 Electric Corded 12Amp Snow Shovel, 16" Width, 430lbs/Minute on 1/4/2024 and put it together. Went very smooth. It came just in time for our first snow 1/6-1/7/2024. Plugged this baby in and go! Very easy to use. We have a large driveway and was able to bet very close to the cars without having to move them. Great Investment.

This little tool works great!
Just what we needed to save our backs. Of course you don’t want to let heavy wet snow pile up before clearing but today it cleared 5” deep fluffy snow with no problem at all.

Earthwise electric snow shovel corded
Reason i bought this machine is that I’m a senior and I cannot do manual shovelling anymore. Easy to assemble and it’s just the right size. My only complaint is that one of the wheel does not turn. I’ve notice when I’m assembling the unit is that the metal on one of the wheel is very tight with the size of the wheel and therefore one of the wheel does not turn which defeats the purpose of buying this type of machine if the wheel is not turning. I don’t know to contact to resolve this issue - should I return the unit or just get something else?

Heaven help you if you need any kind of support from the manufacturer
I recently bought this horrible product and having am having trouble assembling it because the parts are so poorly machined I can't firmly screw the wheels to the wheel bracket, among other problems I had to (almost) put it together. I tried calling the manufacturer's help line, and was sitting on hold, forced to listen to the same f------- automated message, every 30 seconds or so for well over 20 minutes. During that time, I was also forced to "choose from the following options" every few minutes. If you make a selection (doesn't matter which option) the system starts rattling off the initial message all over again, as if I had just called. If you don't choose an option, it tells me invalid input and again begins rattling off the initial message. So, basically, their answering system is an endless loop.I would most definitely not buy from them again. Now I have to completely disassemble the product and somehow try to fit it back into the original box to do a return. What a pain in the a--.
