This mattress was in use on its own. The 'memory foam' works well. The size and height are as stated. It arrived compressed and wrapped in polythene. If you buy this mattress, don't leave the purchase to the last minute! It takes about 10 days (no exaggeration!) for the chemical smell to go away. It is foam, and it will smell! It needs to be stored in a room that is not in use while it is being aired. I tried to sleep in the same room but the smell was overpowering. After the smell has dissipated, it is perfectly usable and not smelly at all. I am extremely fussy about such things, but I am truly pleased with the purchase. The fact that it smelled when opened has not put me off buying another, should I need it (and I probably will).Another thing to note: Do not use it on a hard surface. If the bed you buy it for has wooden slats, the foam will sink through, so secure a strong sheet underneath it. If you do this, the mattress is perfectly comfortable. I used it myself for around 6 months and slept very well.

Brought for my 17yr old son, it came nicely rolled up I unravelled straight onto single bed . It does have a slight smell at first but goes after few days. I'm happy with the thickness and quality for the price. My son says the mattress is firm , I did have a lay down on it and yes it is quite firm . He's had no problem sleeping on it ,just got to adjust to the firmness as his last mattress was much softer. I would recommend this mattress it's a good fit for single bed, a nice thickness, great value and quite firm . I'm very happy with this mattress would buy again.

OK so I have a really sensitive back and have been struggling with sciatica for years. I have in the past bought both cheap and very expensive mattresses to help support my back. I can honestly say that this mattress has definitely helped me get a good night’s sleep without having to roll over from side to side during the night.I ended up buying 2 of these mattresses one for myself and my wife. The mattresses come boxed and needed to be aired for the first 24hrs. It did have a foam smell once the box but it wasn’t too bad and that dissipated after the 24hrs. Once fully expanded and placed into position it fitted my 3ft single: width: 90 cm x length: 190cm bed perfectly. It comes with a nice inch of memory foam which just complements the support.I would say if you looking for a good and very comfortable mattress at an affordable price this is a great option and if you anything like me it will greatly help your back stay safe.

The item arrived the day after I ordered it in new condition as discribed. It took about 1 hour to plump up but I left it a day to air.It does smell a bit, even after a few days of use but it's not horrendous, just foamy and it will fade in time. (My new sofa smelt for a while when it was new too)The best bit is it is soooooo comfy. We bought it for our 8 year old and when I went to watch a film with him the night before last I was so comfy I fell asleep. He is cosy, warm and comfy therefore I would highly recommend. I could never get comfortable on his old mattress but this one is great and as we need a new mattress too I will consider buying one of these for usThank you

After a bad start and false delivery dates and it not turning up on a few occasions and then Hermes website showed they had attempted delivery at 9:12pm on a Saturday evening which was not true! I logged a complaint with hermes which was never resolved, but my mattress finally arrived, late but it arrived! Now I'm unsure if sellers or hermes fault here maybe a bit of both. Maybe change delivery company Seller! However that been said I got to say this mattress is just soooooo comfy! Im a biggish girl and after reading some reviews saying it's not very supportive and they don't weigh much etc and some reviews saying how good it is I took a gamble! I needed a new mattress urgently and straight after Xmas short on funds so I went for this one very cheap and I had option to pay over 5 months. I am so glad I did it really really is just an absolute delight, im not waking up with any back or leg ache and ive never slept so good in a long time! Im actually a little excited when it comes to bed time now because I just know I'm gonna be so comfortable and sleep good! :) I hope longevity doesn't dissapoint but right now do I recommend this mattress ohhh yessssss I do!

This mattress is amazingly good value. It's not thick (not even 20cm) but firm enough, and because it's 100% foam it's (just) thick enough. If you're looking for a budget mattress avoid sprung mattresses (cheap ones are awful). This on the other hand is a similar quality to IKEA's Morgendal mattresses. which are twice the price. The mattress cover isn't partic attractive but the foam is fine and I think most people would be pleasantly surprised with the quality. I'd buy it again.

Wow! Extremley comfortable, nice depth, my daughter is so pleased as she no longer wakes up with back ache . Value for money. No chemical smell added bonus and arrived before due date , very well packaged .Would highly recommend if you looking for comfort and value all in one.
