Bowley & Jackson Traditional Crown vintage design victorian wall mounted toilet loo roll holder

I was uncertain about buying this product after reading other reviews. I purchased it knowing that some of the reviewers down marked it for quality. Here's what I thought/did:1. People complaining about text alignment - While somewhat true, get over it. The design and manufacture of this product is never going to be 100% perfect, and because of this it looks great! It's the whole point of having a "vintage" look. I love it. This item is a cast, not a machined "perfect" item. It is exactly as pictured and looks amazing when installed.2. Nuts/bolts coming loose - Yep, can see from the design that could quite possible be the case. The lifting and lowers of the arms is bound to undo at least one of the nuts if there is any resistance between the arm and the nut. I could also see that if the arms are allowed to move freely there was a possibility that the toilet paper could catch against the bottom of the back plate. However, I purchased this item knowing this may be the case and already had a plan. Simple enough. Before fitting to a wall, I decided to superglue the arms and bolts into the optimum placing. No issues! Fixed. (see photos)All in all, item looks great and does it's job. A little modification that takes 5 seconds and all highlighted issues posted by other reviews can easily be fixed.Personally, I recommend this product and think it looks great.

looks great, but after a time the screws at the side became loose and if it was not tightened up then the bog roll would catch on the frame and you ended up with lots of pieces of toilet paper, very sad

A unique loo roll holder, a good size and weighty feel to it. Rustic and industrial which is perfect for what I was after.Only downsides no screws provided (difficult to find something to match rustic look) and possibility of damaging floor tiles if you ever drop the core holder.

Looks very impressive but screws keep coming loose

very poor quality. The nuts have to be constantly tightened. will be changing the product soon.very disappointed.

Very nice item and looks great! Came in good time and well packaged.It's for the toilet in our deli and we wanted a traditional look, this is fab and works well with the design.

There's nothing to dislike about this product , bought it for our downstairs w/c in our victorian house, and it fits right in .I found it simple to install ,like any anything, use the right fixings for the job and you won't have any problems.

brilliant toilet roll holder,well made,only 1 moan,could we have plugs for the screws please.
