Great for old HDD MBP
Used for an old MBP.Not as involved as the kits for the iMac'sQuick, simple, easy to install.

Very fast external SSD performance!
Thoroughly justifies external and bootable operating systems for transformable platform systems.Boot up in whatever operating system you so desire at the moment for whatever need you may have.Also great for backup plans such as Time Machine or any RAID configuration you may have. SSDs cost more than spinners because they are much faster. Migrating one system to another system makes it totally worth it.

Great SSD
My old one of about 6 years was having some issues on my Mac with waking up or freezing. I replaced it with this upgraded model and no more problems. I have been buying OWC Mercury drives for years for both Mac and Windows systems, never a problem.

Great replacement for own spinning drive.
I replaced the 250GB spinning drive in my 2010 MacBook Pro (2010). Such a great and affordable upgrade for this older laptop. There was videos online to install. It was way easy to do.

Faster than new
I don’t think my computer (Late 2012 Mac Mini) has ever run this fast. I swapped out the hard for this one and also installed a second as it can take dual drives. Best decision I ever made.

Nice SSD but too slow
Nice SSD, nothing wrong with it, but is too slow for my video recorder application. Went with a Samsung SSD instead.

Excellent customer service
I wanted to update my HD in MacBook so purchased new SSD. There were a few issues when I was installing it so reached to the folks at OWC. Their prompt reply and follow up was greatly appreciated. I have purchased computer accessories from them before and will continue to do so for any future needs.

Mac Mini Late 2012 A1347 Disassembly RAM SSD Hard Drive Upgrade Repair Power Supply Replacement
the videos on OWC didn't help because I needed the model #. It wasn't simple take off cover ; etc. My hard drive was bolted on top & required unbolting it only by taking everything out. This video from Youtube helped a lot - so check your model # two. <<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QVVecO5CNX0>> by Binh Repaired. I was fortunate to have someone to assist me. The results are fantastic & like a new Mac mini. I also installed max ram. Before doing this I tried to see if Geek Squad where I originally bought it would do the upgrade but they said they didn't & it probably wouldn't make any difference. Were they wrong. Thanks OWC & Amazon & Binh Repaired & all the others placing videos out there to help us.
