This is a good magnifying glass that looks and feels great to hold and use and really does magnify small print or whatever you want to see clearly. However there’s a serious problem with the box it came in, although sealed from the manufacturer it was frankly filthy inside! This is why it’s lost a star in the rating and how can any manufacturer sell an item that the box it travels in is so filthy? I’ve taken photos to prove the point and added to this review.

I got carried away again and expected too much of a bargain, so I'm afraid this magnifying glass didn't quite meet up to my expectations. It's actually not bad, to be fair, but I do not believe the either of the claims of "Genuine Crystal Glass Lens" or "10X" magnification are true.It comes in a nice box, is reasonably nicely finished and actually might make for a nice present for someone. However I wanted a high-quality magnifying glass on the cheap, and this isn't it.But I have to admit, for the money it's not bad, all things considered.

I was looking for something with character and at first it seemed to deliver. It looks great, is presented in a gift box, and the magnification was very good. However, upon close inspection of the lense itself I noticed there was debris and lint actually contaminating the glass itself. I'm going to return it and order it again and hope i get lucky with a better quality lense as it looked great if only the lense quality were better.

It came in a nice gift box ideal for a present.
