Nite Ize S-Biner SlideLock Locking Stainless Steel Carabiner (Black, #2)

Well made, good locking mechanism, ideal for rucksack strap

I brought these specifically for the slide lock, as I have the tendency to loose items when I hook onto my backpack. Traditional carabiners break easily. This Nite brand is top quality, a bit pricer but very reliable. I secured my travel neck pillow onto my backpack for the whole duration of my trip and it never came undone. I love the side lock which adds another layer of security. The size is a little large but is fine. I have also tested with my water bottle and it holds it well.

I have several S-Biner from Nite Ize and they are robust and with a wide span of usage. This S-Biner with slidelock fulfils my expectations completely.

Bought this as an extra measure of security on a backpack zipper. Works well and I'm sure that if someone decides to try and help themselves to my backpack contents I'll notice.

Very secure and lockable perfect for my rucksack. Worth the value in money.

Small but really handy, well made too.

After ≈ two weeks of holding a water bottle to a bag (high use though well under the 10 lbs limit), the gates broke off. Before this, the gates did repeatedly lock on the wrong side of the bar which required fixing with brute force. I'd just get a normal carabiner.

I use this clip on my keys. The lock has keep the side with the keys secured whilst the other side easily clips onto my bag. The size is around the same as a smaller key

These are very handy little carabiner clips. I initially purchased a set of two Size #1 S-Biners as part of several different items I wanted to try out along with several other products in my search for the most suitable combination of rings and clips to organize my keys, and I've since added a selection of these S-Biners for various uses. What I've learned is that Nite Ize produces these S-Biners in various sizes and materials and finishes, each suitable for certain purposes. They're all well made, and in my opinion they are all a good value. I particularly like the locking models that are also available (see the models at the bottom of the listing below). This locking style S-Biner is particularly useful since it reduces the chance that something attached using this clip will become accidentally released, which is something I've had happen when using the non-locking style slip. This particular locking S-Biner is available in two sizes, and I have the #2 which I feel is the most practical size for use on a keychain, for example, but it's also available in the #4 size which is much larger and could be used for carrying larger or heavier quantities of items. After going through a mini research project of my own in order to both determine the relevant dimensions of the various sizes, as well as find the best listings for them on Amazon, here is a guide to simplify this process for others. Locking feature is a must have! These work great. I have other non-locking types and they detach far too easily.
