Quality and versatility all in one with great value
Used this sketchbook for my degree course studies for oil paintings on gesso, pencil and charcoal drawings were good, enough tooth in the paper for those mediums. Love how it can be used for A2 size compositions by painting on joint pages. Paper is sturdy enough to support gesso and several layers of oil paints on each page. Have bought a few of these sketchbooks now, have to personalise the covers so I know which one is which!!

Lovely
Lovely product, haven't tried how it deals with paints yet but so far so good!

Perfect for my purpose
I'm a full time artist, and this is just what I was after. I use it with coloured pencils. The paper is thick and sturdy and the book itself is well made. I christened it with my first life drawing session a few weeks ago! I shouldn't imagine it would stand up to repeated or aggressive wet media, though I don't think it would struggle too much with maybe a bit of ink or watercolour wash here and there. Honestly if you gave a page a few coats of gesso I think it would do fine with acrylic and gouache too! Thanks so much.

Not the best
Have purchased sketchbooks with much better quality paper than this for lessFeels very chalky, doesn’t seem like it would take any wet medium well. Would absorb marker pensOnly suitable for pencil as far as I can tellPrefer sturdier, smoother paper that has more useAlso arrived with scuffs on the cover - not ideal

Quality drawing paper in a quality binding
Good quality cartridge paper in a quality binding. I have used it for both graphite and pen. It was nice to see that the ink didn't bleed into the page or come through to the other side of the page.

Good value sketch book
Good weight sketching paper and well bound. More useful than ring bound pads if using for college artwork as the pages don't come apart.
