Easy install ,easy operation, arrived on time! Slight modification or my rangers center panel and it slid right in!

I got this because the factory CD player in my 2002 Mazda truck crapped out on me. I really like this CD stereo. It has a ton of features. It shows the name of the radio station, the name of the artist and song. Same goes for the CD player. It shows the name of the CD, artist and song. I'm sure these are features that most people are used to, but I am not. It has a USB slot, which I use to power my GPS. It also has an auxiliary jack, which you could plug in a MP3 player or something. The display is bright, clear and has a ton of different colors to choose from. It almost fit into the dash perfectly; there was some cutting involved and the installation was a bit pricey but worth it. I am very happy with this stereo. I give this product two head banging devil horns up.

Easy to install. Quality sound. Easy to set up. Make sure you get a quality install kit. I had to purchase a wiring harness vehicle specific but it wasn't very expensive.

I bought this to replace my nonfunctional radio/CD player in my old 2000 Ford Explorer. I had to use my Dremel oscillating tool to cut a thin strip off of the existing plastic housing/face plate so this Kenwood DPX505BT would fit. The existing housing was just a little too tight. Other than that, the installation was pretty straightforward with the help of YouTube and a bit of common sense. Setting the time, stations, etc. was NOT intuitive, so I had to refer to the instructions, but the radio and CD player work well. The sound quality is much better than the original system. It's been in the old Explorer for several months, and I'm still a happy customer.

Works as it should, fair price but fell it’s a few dollars high . Not disappointed at all

I was replacing a DPX500BT unit hoping that this updated unit would be similar with upgraded functions as advertised. However, some of the changes do not appear better. First, the install will not be plug and play from the old unit. The pinning is different and requires a fresh install. Additionally, there are 2 less pins from the old unit. This created some confusion as to which wires to not terminate. Second, pressing the volume knob no longer attenuates. This is a function I used to use frequently. Pressing the volume knob now enters the setting. There is no longer a way to attenuate. Third, the unit features clock syncing. Originally, I thought this would be linked to the Bluetooth of the phone, but instead it is linked to FM radio. I don't know how exactly how it pulls from the radio, but in my area the clock syncs 5 minutes too fast. Sometimes, it's off by hours depending on where I am driving. In other words, I have to disable this feature if I want the correct time. Fourth, the functionality of the auto dimmer is unreliable. Apparently, there is an AM and PM setting for different brightnesses along with additional dimming. However, there were times when I was trying to adjust the brightness in the evening and the day time brightness is what made the change. I ended up turning off the feature and left it at one brightness. Similarly, the color selection doesn't have the same colors as the 500BT unit. I try to match the green light scheme in my vehicle, and the shade is no longer quite correct. Although this was supposed to be an upgrade, I wish my old unit was still working. Kenwood miss the mark on this one with too many features that need to be turned off.

Hola les recomiendo el radio , pero no se como apagarlo, sus colores son bonitos vala la pena en general y repito según presiono el botón de apagado pero se vuelve a encender.

I didn’t want a touchscreen and I didn’t realize they actually had one of these that was Excelon, so in case any of you were wondering it does make a difference so after going back and looking again, I did find one of these. I believe I did anyways and I’m not totally unhappy, but I do notice a difference, but I just wanted away from the touchscreen so badly, but I went for this and it was half the price of the other one. It looks just like this that is an excelon model, And Not knowing if there was really a difference, I would’ve gladly paid that Higher price for A higher level of sound quality, it’s not huge, but it’s definitely there.

only gave 3 stars even with no problem with the product but the delivery company they use is garbage. They Use Dragonfly courier and have nothing but problems with them. They sent package to wrong address even with proper address on package
